We stayed in the 3 bedroom cabin which is complete with a stove, fridge, microwave and the likes. The cabin was very well planned with the kitchen and dining separated from the corridor leading to the rooms and toilet. It has a mixture of modern and old furniture. Cosy and comfortable for a night's stay or even longer. They provided more than enough blankets and even single mattresses.
Beds had electric blankets and electric heaters. One of the heaters didn't work but the staff managed to replace with a new one and it worked very well.
When we came, there was no one but instructions were clear enough to be followed and we made ourselves at home quickly. Our cabin had sufficient space for 2 cars to park and if it was in the summer, we could have relaxed at the deck.
Location is excellent; around 10 mins drive to the 12 Apostles so we were able to catch the sunrise without waking up very early. We needed some groceries and drove around 15 mins to Timboon. The IGA closes at 6pm so have to take note. Still close enough for last min items.
In a nutshell, Summer's Rest is a convenient and cosy place to stay at Port Campbell. East access to 12 Apostles and short drive to the wild life park. Really love the lay out of the 3 bedroom apartment. Good for families with kids as the food can be contained in one area and we do not need to worry about spillage onto the carpet.
One thing that we wished for was to be able to meet Ron and Ruth and to visit their farm :)
