I’ve been wanting to come to
hummingbird for a while now after walking past one day and noticing how beautiful it looked inside. We visited the other day for breakfast and it was definitely beautiful inside, and with the winter sun coming in through the glass it was very comfortable. Unfortunately with the concrete floor (which the chairs scraped noisily on) and the hard white walls, the not overly loud music and noise from other diners bounced around the cafe and made carrying a conversation difficult and soured the dining experience. However, the food and coffee were excellent, and served quickly with a smile. Eggs (scrambled) Your Way with added mushies and avocado was unexpectedly big and tasty - those mushrooms are worth just eating on their own! My partner had the Eggs Florentine and that disappeared pretty quickly. Really would like to come back and sit on the sofas in the window or have lunch in summer.
