We took the opportunity on the weekend to have breakfast at Chapters as our usual favourite was closed for the long weekend. We waited 20-30mins before anyone took our order & the order was only taken once our friend assumed we ordered at the counter. When politely asking the waitress she would like to place our orders she was greeted very rudely with 'umm, I was coming...'. There was no indication to us that anyone was on their way to us.
In the time we were in Chapters there was only 9 people seated, most of them had already ordered, yet out drinks took close to 20mins to reach our table, which was the same time our breakfast reached us. The food we expect to take that long, not our drinks. Once we got into our breakfast the food was great and the drinks too.
Upon leaving the restaurant, we said thanks and bye to the waitress and we got nothing back from her other than a dirty look up and down.
While eating breakfast we noticed there was a great looking tapas menu, but after our experience with the staff, no amount of great food will have us back eating at Chapters. This restaurant has great potential with its locations and menu. But the staff treated us as though we personally took their Monday morning of their long weekend from them.
