This is not the 4*Hotel Mediterraneo Park (which I stayed at) but reading the reviews people are commenting on the *Park which is over the road. It is the same company but it is 3*. The guests eat over at the *Park but there is no swimming pool. I think the reviews ARE for the Hotel Mediterraneo Park but have been put on the wrong site.I did not stay at the Hotel Mediterraneo.

Second stay having spent a week here last July.

Clean, modern and a good size. Family rooms have an extra bed but this adds 50% of a adults price to the room. Extra €6 a night for pool side room (+ nice view - noisy during day (pool) and night (entertainment) and no sun in evening!) Excellent shower pressure.

We were on B&B basis. Loads of choice and pretty good quality. The bar area by the pool does hot food until 4pm then cold food until 6pm. Very reasonable prices.

Kids disco every night at 9:15pm ... the highlight of our 3yr olds day (not on Sundays). Live music/act every night at 10:15pm. Don't expect West End quality but it's fine - ranges from Flamenco Dance to Beatles Tribute to Magic Show!
There are two kids clubs for different age groups (not Sunday) and lots of daily activities e.g volleyball, aquarobics, mini golf etc... Along with little competitions.

Very helpful and multi-lingual.

Main pool outside is reasonable size and never too busy.
Indoor pool is small but great if it a bad weather day.
Kids pool is really a paddling pool (see pic) but is perfect for kids from 0-5yrs. It's surrounded by grass area and only 6-8" deep with two slides. Our little one would have stayed there all day - if we let her.

Roses is a real Spanish/French mix with very few Brits - (refreshing).
150m from lovely beach. Mini market 5 mins walk. A number of restaurants on seafront 5 mins away which are reasonably priced and fairly family orientated. The main town is 15 mins walk along seafront and has lots of excellent restaurants, shops and ICE-CREAM
The drive from Barcelona takes just over 1h30m - toll roads will cost approximately €15

Enjoyed our second stay. It's worth emailing the hotel direct to make a booking for the best deal.

1. Avoid breakfast between 9:00-10:00 when it's busiest!
2. Room safe is charged at €20 per week!
3. Plenty of parking around hotel (no need to have hotel parking at €7 a day) though harder to find a space on Sat/Sun when locals come to park near the beach.
4. An attempt at basic Spanish is always appreciated.
5. 10% service charge is almost universally added to bills so no need to tip - just leave loose change from bill if you like.
6. Free wifi in bar area in 1hr blocks - code from reception. €1 a day for room wifi but it's soooo slow and constantly drops out!

Again, a 5* rating but decent wifi in this day and age should be a given!

Booked a holiday in May with Treyn Rail Holidays. Organization of this trip was first rate, absolutely no complaints. Hotel was very good for people who don't mind large hotels.
Staff were friendly and food good. Treyn tour guide was excellent and we found them to be more organized than their sister company Great Rail Journeys (which was quite a surprise).

Anyone thinking of booking a holiday with Treyn, I would say go ahead!

Once again the hotel was excellent. Food was good and plenty of it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds were well kept. Bar outside near the pool supplied a good menu alongside the drinks. Beds very comfortable and rooms very clean. Would recommend this hotel. This was my second visit and it was better than ever.

Room Tip: My room was on 3rd floor near the lift and it was very quiet.

Stayed for a few nights at the end of summer. The hotel is fairly new and very nice and clean. It is a large hotel that is largely used by bus loads of retirees on tours.

We had great breakfasts in the hotel. There is a huge variety of food and it is self serve.

The air-conditioning had been turned off, presumably after the summer season. It was still warm and humid in Roses when we stayed in mid October and both the room and the public areas were uncomfortably warm.

Overall the hotel suited our needs as a base for exploring northern Spain. The hotel is on the edge of town and little way from the commercial heart of Roses.
