Stayed here one night on the way to our final destination. Super friendly staff, quite, and delicious waffles for breakfast. That being said the value per $ not there. Shower was filthy and floor of shower had pieces of fiberglass (??) missing. It was a quaint little hotel and did the job for us for one night, however, for 125.00 I think we could have done better.$50-60 dollar a night maybe? Owners super nice and prob would have moved us had I complained but we were exhausted and just wanted sleep :)

Hi Danielle, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to write a review. We are very disappointed, however, that you thought the shower was filthy. We walk every room before it is rented to make sure it is clean but our bathtubs are old and worn and have some cracks that make it look a little dingy. We would have been happy to take a look and explain that to you and even clean it again if you would have given us 5-10 minutes. We are glad that you found us to be friendly and that you enjoyed your breakfast. We are the only mom and pop motel to offer that amenity and have one of the highest ratings in the area for service and cleanliness (9.7 for each according to Booking and 253 reviews). Other properties with similar ratings were charging anywhere from $250-$300/night that weekend, although those are high end chain hotels with pools, business centers and full, hot breakfasts. I do not think you could have found a place to stay in Pinetop over the holiday weekend in the $50-$60 range but perhaps there may have been something in Show Low in the 5-6 rating scale. We hope you come to visit the White Mountains again and find a lodging choice that better fits your need.

This is a great place to stay. We had no reservations, and it was a holiday weekend, but we were able to get a room! Very clean, well decorated room, at that, but the greatest thing was the staff. They couldn't have been more welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. Next time we're in the area, we'll be staying there!

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor. Rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated, with all the amenities. Surprisingly quiet.

Clean, cozy, cute, comfortable!!! The view from the windows was spectacular! Sitting under the Pine trees in their picnic area was especially nice while enjoying conversations with my friends! Price was very reasonable; staff very friendly. Will definitely stay there again!!! Had a wonderful weekend!!!

Hi Mary, Thank you so much for staying with us and thank you for taking the time to write a review! We just love our majestic pine trees and the view from all of the rooms faces out towards our courtyard where you can see them and the wind gently blowing the fragrant forest smells all around. We have provided lots of chairs and conversational spaces in the courtyard to sit and drink in the beauty of our White Mountains. We are thrilled that you and your friends enjoyed our facilities so much and we look forward to having you again soon!

We stayed here over the weekend and the staff was wonderful, the beds cozy, and a refrigerator and microwave comes standard with the room. Great for traveling with small children. There is also a continental breakfast included with your stay that offers a variety of things including a waffle bar.

The ladies at the front desk were friendly and extremely helpful in assisting with things to do, places to eat, and where to go to see things. There is mini-golf on site as well as a fire ring and outdoor activities- but it was 19 degrees so we passed on that this trip.

The rooms show a little bit of wear, but are warm, cozy, comfortable, and clean. If you are not uppity about things (and this hotel is not a 5 star price, either) you will be happy here. Definitely a little gem in the mountains. We will be back soon!

Hi Nikki, I'm so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. We have upgraded many things in the rooms since taking over in the summer of 2015; the beds and appliances were some of the first things we did. This winter we are doing some painting and other things inside since as you mentioned, it's a bit cold to do much outside. We offer what we hope is a well-rounded breakfast with coffee, juice, tea, toast, jelly and peanut butter and pastries as just a few of the standard items. Our focus is to provide an exceptionally clean and comfortable room at a reasonable price for travelers that are looking for friendly faces at the front desk and a little character in the room. We hope you have a chance to visit us again when it warms up and you can enjoy our outdoor space as well.

This really is a lovely place to stay. I had a nice welcome and a mix up over my booking was quickly sorted out (as well as a swift rendition of 'Hello Dolly!). The room was spacious and had a table, writing desk, really nice towels and linen and a chair in the bathroom - which was remarkably useful for clothes, etc. The whole room was scrupulously clean and also had a fridge and microwave. Very happy to recommend and would return any time.

We look at our rooms as if we were guests and try to figure out what we would want to make us more comfortable so we are thrilled that we were spot on in so many areas during your stay. We hope you can come visit us again soon!
