We stayed in the Faros rooms and ate in the taverna at least 5 times. They had a wide range of traditional greek food and fresh fish. We watched the fish being brought to the restaurant by the fisherman in the morning over breakfast and then ate it in the evening. The red mullet was the best I've ever tasted. vegetable and meat dishes also good.

Traditional greek food. Dimos and his family were very kindly. The service was excelent. You can see the fresh fish before you ordered. Very good choice

Faros is in an idyllic location, with its own quiet beach, complete with sunbeds. It's about a mile out of Livadia town centre, but the walk is along the sea front, so it's flat all the way.

The food is very good, but a bit pricey. Lunch for two came out at over €50, which makes it a lot more expensive than other restaurants in Livadia. But the atmosphere is very relaxed, with gentle Greek songs playing quietly in the background (although there is a caged parrot that squarks from time to time) and they are happy to let you sit there staring out across the bay all afternoon if you like! Highly recommended, but take more cash than you think you'll need

We came here for dinner and came back for lunch, the view on the bay is beautiful, in a relaxing environment, it worths the walk from Livadia.
Traditional greek cuisine, as it should be, we had really good dolmades, baby goat in lemone sauce, spicy cheese dip, octopus in vinegar and amazing vegetables cooked in casseroule.
The owner and the staff are very nice and welcoming, they explain everything about the dishes.
We strongly suggest to try it!
