Well, I don’t know where to start! This was a splendid property nestled among the slopes of the village of Aristi. We had a splendid time and would return without any doubt!
We arrived quite late in the evening however there were plenty of staff around to check us in. They gave us very detailed and helpful tips/advices on the area and highlighted many things to do. We were taken to our rooms which were only a few steps away and there was a helpful bellman to help you with your luggages should you need it. The room was beautifully laid out, the bed was extremely comfortable with high quality linen and a sublime view of snow capped mountains (you also have a little terrace to sip your morning coffee on!). The room had plenty of wardrobe space and hangars along with a safe, slippers, dressing gown etc but we did find the room a bit short on drawers to put things in as we were in Greece for quite a few days with quite a lot of luggage. We loved the nespresso machine, free water and fridge should you need it. I wanted to make some tea in the morning and I called room service for a dash of milk which arrived in literally minutes. The room is well heated which was a relief as it did get a little cold outside! The bathroom was equally as beautiful with stone walls and monsoon shower, amazing amenities which were replenished plentifully and house keeping was always done whenever the staff knew you were out of your room/hotel.
We loved the spa! Amazing heated pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi (the jacuzzi overlooks the snow capped mountains which was beautiful) and you can book spa services. They give you disposable slippers and fresh towels and you must book to enter the spa which is still under covid regulations - and this meant the spa was never busy which we loved.
Breakfast and other meal times take place in the main restaurant. The food for dinner was of a very high quality and you were served quickly and efficiently (I must say the wine list of local wines was extremely impressive) and we had some standout dishes that were sublime (try the balaclava with cinnamon ice cream). It was a special birthday whilst we were there and they organised cakes, took pictures etc to make sure we had a great time. We were also allowed to have some drinks in the main salon in front of the fire place which was extremely memorable. Breakfast was of a very high quality under strict covid regulations, fresh orange juice and bespoke coffees (you had to request more fresh orange juice if you wanted more and on one occasion it wasn’t fresh orange juice, and all specialised coffees are on request only). We loved the orange cake, spanakopitas, fresh pastries and much more however I would say that it would be nice to have a bit more range for breakfast considering the class of the hotel.
We didn’t visit the bar area as we didn’t have time but I would recommend drinking there and eating dinners in the hotel, we had some quite poor and expensive meals in the town which I wouldn’t repeat ever again.
Aristi village is perfect if you want to visit the nearby villages, walks, rafting, trekking etc and we were so glad we got to enjoy this little piece of mountain paradise.
