We stayed at the Diamantides Hotel 13th-16th June. Having arrived on Limnos and not having booked anywhere to stay, we called at the hotel to ask if they had a vacancy and at what price. We were offered a room for two, with balcony and breakfast for 60 Euros per night which we accepted. We chose a room overlooking the castle where we would have the afternoon sun on our large balcony and a spectacular view of the castle, especially at night. The room although a little dated was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the room. In the bathroom there was plenty of hot water. We were not disturbed by any outside noise during the night. The air conditioning in the room worked well as did the WiFi. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Outside there is a lovely swimming pool surrounded by lots of sun loungers and chairs. Many, if not most of the guests were on package, all inclusive holidays, not bed and breakfast like ourselves. Breakfast was self service and in my opinion only average for this type of hotel. The hotel is situated about 10 minutes easy, flat walk from the centre of Myrina and a short taxi ride to the ferry terminal. There is a lovely harbour with lots of bars and restaurants. The walk upto the castle is well worth the effort but go there either early morning or late afternoon when it is less hot.
