Well, it is possible. Finally, I have met a resort of near perfection. Although I don't do a lot of resorts, after years of various experiences, I can say there was always a somewhat of a bitterness in the experience. But not here. This place gives you a multitude of various, kind of explosions of, enjoyment. Such perfection is only possible with a management team that truly knows its business and into the smallest detail. Virtually perfect service and a staff that truly looks at your well being. On the top, the design is superb and place is excellently maintained (not easy in harsh tropics). Kids loved it also, of course. Bravo!

We spend 10 nights at this hotel, staying in a partial ocean view room. The room was very clean and well maintained with a nice view of the ocean and lots of privacy.

Food
The breakfast was great, over 20 choices on the menu and all of the ones I tried were exceptional. There are two breakfast restaurants and if you book in advance you can have breakfast sitting on the beach front.

The evening meals were very good too. Dinner cost in the region of 120,000 IDR and we only ate out of the hotel several times in the evening as the restaurants were so enjoyable.

Drinks were relatively expensive costing around 150,000 IDR. However this is still cheaper than an average UK bar. The cocktails were all well made with quality ingredients. Happy hour was from 5-7 and then you could enjoy half price drinks.

Staff
Probably the best aspect of the hotel was the staff. It was without a doubt the best service I have experienced any where in the world I have travelled. Every staff member was friendly, polite, spoke impressive English and seemed to take pride in their work, creating a truly remarkable atmosphere at the hotel. They were happy to deal with every request and went above and beyond what I expected. For example, on arrival the transfer driver Oskar met us at the airport with cold water and towels and offered great conversation all the way to the hotel.

Activities
There are lots of activities which can be booked from the front desk of the hotel, all at very reasonable prices. We did several trips and for all of them you are picked up from the hotel and dropped back at the front desk. One boat trip even picked us up from the beach at the back of the hotel!

We had several massages in the spa which were all well priced and thoroughly enjoyable too.

Overall an outstanding hotel with amazing staff and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Lombok. If I ever go back to Lombok I wouldn't even bother looking at other hotels.

Room Tip: Go for an upstairs room if possible

Had a most relaxing holiday on Lombok thanks to Qunci Villas. Three pools, great choice of breakfasts from around the world - so many choices! Lovely interior design all around. A definite must go again place.
Staff were friendly and efficient and a special mention of Nova - he’s a star!

Had a nice stay at Quinci. Staff are very friendly. Initially we had a downstairs room right next to the restaurant with little privacy and you could hear banging from footsteps upstairs. After speaking with the staff we were moved to another room which was much nicer and we enjoyed that much more.

The new years dinner at the Italian Quah restaurant was a total disappointment though - the buffet at the Asian restaurant looked much tastier. Firstly, the food had very little flavour especially for an "itialian influence" and whatever flavour there was it was either salty or average. The Fois gras was unedible so we didn't finish that. And the chest nut cappacuino (savoury soup) tasted like packet soup. The desert was also bland- it was supposed to have cinamon cream but you couldn't taste any. We were expecting some fine tasty dining but using expensive ingredients, fancy names and nice presentation doesnt make things taste better. I would suggest they work on the taste first then the other things. Shame because the breakfasts were almost all nice especially the farmers breakfast. Considering the price tag of $120 AUD for both of us for this dinner it was a total rip off.

On the bright side the fireworks were lovely. We appreciated the fogging for mosquitoes and the one night we didnt have the turn down service we were destroyed by mosquito bites! Room cleaning was excellent and toiletries were good. The gardens are pristine as there are gardners removing any dead plants or even fallen leaves from the grass. Staff were very accommodating and nice always smiling and saying hello!

Dear Ali A,

Although we are all happy that you enjoyed your stay at Qunci, we are disappointed that you did not enjoy your New Years dinner with us.

As my Chef pointed out in his reply to your review of the meal on the restaurant page here no TA, speak up! Gianluca wants all of our guests to enjoy all their meals with us and he will rework dishes and menus to keep our guests happy. You just have to ask.

Sorry again about the less than stellar New Years meal for you and your partner.

Happy Travels

We have recently spent 7 days at this property. It was most enjoyable and relaxing despite the weather not always cooperating but I guess it is that time of year.

The Resort is exactly as depicted in the photos which accompany the various booking sites. Not all Hotels/Resorts can stand on that point!!

The views are over Lombok Strait towards Mount Argung (Bali) and when the cloud cover lifts the sunsets would be stunning from the pool decks. The property has three infinity pools facing the beach, including one for non-smokers and a smaller one limited to adults. Both the larger pools are adequate for laps in the cool of the morning.

Our room was off the beach but a water view was available from the generous front porch complete with a day bed and table, if you preferred to have breakfast served to the room. The bedroom was huge, as was the bed, and included another day bed. Our villa also had a rear courtyard which included our bathroom complimented by an outdoor rain shower. We have to say this was devine!!

Our bed was a dream. Linen, etc was of good quality. Our room was kept spotless daily by housekeeping. One minor issue was that the replenishment of supplementary items (shampoo, etc) were a little inconsistent.

The property is serviced by the Qomboja Health Spa. We both had massages and she a facial. We were very satisfied with our experience with the staff who had started at the Spa ten years previous.

There are various restaurant options at the Resort. We had a couple of good experiences at Nooq which is a bar/tapas bar. The Resort also has two other dining options one seafood and the other Italian. We had no complaint regarding the meals but thought the inclusion of a chef's daily special might be welcome by guests staying for an extended period.

Breakfast may be taken either in your room, along the beachfront or at the main restaurants. We found the actual menu a little confusing. We hadn't struck set menus for breakfast previously but were satisfied that we could order independently. Our standard order was fruit juice, papaya fruit, bread basket, eggs and coffee which totally satisfied our needs.

Senggigi Beach and the neighbouring properties offer off-Resort dining and drinking options. Teksi's are inexpensive and are usually available in front of the Resort.

The South African owner is to be complimented by the design and construction of this fabulous Resort. Although the Resort caters to families it is large enough and designed so that those wanting quieter times can achieve same without fuss.

This was the most relaxing seven days we have spent in over twenty years together!!

Thanks you Quinci, and a huge thanks you to the staff who work tirelessly so that guests are satisfied.
