Me and my family had a wonderful time. The staff is really friendly. My kids loved the little farm and the play room. Also, the swimming pool is heated. Definitely we are coming back. Its very well located, so its easy to explore this small town.

Although in Rio highlands, its no more than a sleeping place. Nothing special: simple breakfast, small rooms and pool. Sillence is not a garantee, main road is just one hundred meters away. Hard to return.
Ideal for weekends and holidays the Albergo is located in Itaipava, district of Petropolis, only
1hour and 15 minutes away from Rio de Janeiro, in good traffic conditions. The rooms are
comfortable and the food is good. The staff takes very good care of you. It has sports facilities,
a small but nice pool, and you can see green trees all over the place. A very relaxing
atmosphere.
Avoid the rooms near the main road due to sometimes heavy truck traffic during the night.
It has conference room facilities for groups of up to 30 people.
The only reason why I stayed at this hotel was because of its close location to the wedding party I was attending on the weekend. The hotel has a very welcoming staff, polite and willing to help. However its like it simply stopped in time. If you are looking for a simple place to sleep, ok, then you are fine. But the bathroom needs renovations ASAP... its clean, but its old. The towels need to be renewed too... the beds are comfortable. The food is ok, but nothing special. So, in a nut shell, its expensive for what you really get. There are much more charming hotels, in Itaipava for the same price (which is not cheap at all).
