A lovely tour through the basement with installed torture exhibition from medieval times. Should’ve... read more
It was interesting. Love how they set up the light and sound ambiance to be super creepy. It’s a one time kinda thing that you won’t repeat.
A really good collection of medieval artefacts in all their gloss glory. We stumbled across this museum whilst out walking as its just by the bridge, wasn't expecting much but as it was roughly £6 each to get in thought it would pass some time. Its over a few floors so be prepared for stairs! I loved it and would recommend particularly if your a fan of disturbing historical facts and the medieval period particularly in Europe.
Well.. it was very informative (the items are labelled in several languages) but I didn't see anything new or surprising. Maybe because I already had some knowledge about medieval tortures and tools used for them?
Interesting but very overpriced as completed the museum within 5 minutes, would not recommend. Mildly interesting and good effects regarding sounds and lighting, would be spooked if I was 8.
Comparing to many things that Prague offers not really worthy a visit slightly overpriced to what it is surely not for a long visit.
Not to be confused with the Museum of Torture Instruments, this museum is at the East end of the Charles bridge. It's a relatively small place with three floors of exhibits, though I felt they had used the space well. Each piece has a description given in a few different languages and most have pictures for those of us with a less active imagination. There's a small doorway from the street that takes you straight up to a pay counter; I think I remember the entry price being 150Kc (about £5) per person, which I felt was reasonable. Ideal if you have a bit of time to kill - I can't imagine spending more than 1 hour here. Also open until 22:00 so plenty of opportunity to fit it in.
