The reaceptionst were very friendly. But, although athough hotel is quite big, I was given a room in the attic, in which I could not stand (literally), except near the door, and had to crawl on my four to reach a refregerator and a coffee-tea maker (by the way, there were no caps for tea). I hurt my head badly trying to get out of the bed. A shower had no cabin, so you have to wash yourself siting on the toilet with a consequence of evrything aroud you getting wet with water, so I gave up all attempts to normally wash. Of couse, nobody comes to clean up the room, because it is impossible. Note, that in my booking it was written that "approx. room size 21 square meters". And I have to pay 5 euros more than it was indicated in my booking. The cheapest possible breakfast was offered in a sort of a shabby bar. No juice. Location is good, the hotel is on the edge of the old town, easily reached from both of metro lines (Nam .Respubliky and Staromiestka) All equipments are renovated. But I was really happy to have a rest after a stay in this hotel.

Stayed in this pleasant, excellently located hotel at the beginning of October. With about 5 mins walking distance from the Old Town Square this is a great budget hotel. On arrival the reception area is small and does give you an impression that the rooms will be low quality. Having arrived (due to flights) at 12 - we had to await a couple of hours until 2pm but we could leave our suitcases with the hotel. The hotel is over 7 floors, which appears to have 4 rooms on each floor with the 7th having 2 rooms. We were located on the 6th floor which can be accessed by a lift or for the more health conscious stairs. The room being so high up meant that it was nice and quiet. The room was extremely spacious with a double bed and a single bed, with a fridge, safe and flat screen tv. The shower room though small was a clean and had an excellent shower. There was plenty of storage space and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was basic and we only had it the one morning, but there is enough to give you a good start to the day. If you are looking for a hotel with a good location and you are on a budget, i would highly recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at Residence Bene as I've got one of the bigger rooms. I found the staff at reception very helpful and very polite and speaks good English.
My room was clean and quiet at night, the bathroom is quite small but it was clean and equipped with a hairdryer.
Very good location, close to the biggest shopping centre in Czech - Palladium, 5-minute walk to metro Republiky and to the Municipal House & Powder Tower. There are a couple of tram stops across the road from Residence Bene. If you want to go to the Prague Castle, take no. 8 to Mala Strana, then no. 22 to Pražský hrad. One of the trams goes to the train station, a very convenient location.
I travelled on my own and felt quite safe at night around the area.
However, I could see why some people have complained about the towels, they really were hard! They were definitely clean just weren't very comfortable against the skin.
