This very charming Inn is just above the famous Gold Wasser restuarnt locatedin teh water front in the magical old town of Gdansk. It is just abovethe restaurant and has 7 smnall lovely apartments. The best is to have the fantastuic dinner and drink the world famous Gold wasser liquer with its 24 karat gold . and some excellent wines from the resturants Seller, and then go up to sleep in one of the suites.
The breakfast was charming as well on the hotel terrase over looking the crowds of tourists passing by.
nextr day we jsut went outside after breakfast into th egheart of th eold town with its special shops and eateries, and enjoyed a wonderful weekend in this hiostoric city.

Room Tip: only 7 suites so anyone is fine.

Loved the friendly staff, who knew English. The food was fabulous, fresh with beautiful presentation. The waitress was smart, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cozy and full of interesting antiques.

I spent a wonderful four days in the "Goldwasser" and can recommend it very highly. The rooms are full of character and with beautiful views front and back, the staff are very friendly and helpful in every way, and the attached restaurant serves some of the best meals in Gdansk. And (contrary to other reviews I have seen) the apartments do have very hot water all the time! I travel a lot so I have much to compare with the Goldwasser, but couldn't have been happier.

Room Tip: I didn't see the other rooms but it looks like they all have windows onto the river on one side and garden the other - both lovely views.

This hotel had some serious issues, but on the other hand it had its advantages too. The location was suberb, the rooms were spacious and beautiful, the breakfast was really great and you could enjoy it on the balcony facing the river. BUT, there was not hot water. That's right, no hot water at all. So folks, if you would like to stay in this beautiful and expensive hotel, be prepared to have very refreshing showers.

The room/small apartement we stayed in was a bit tired but cosy and had a balcony perfect for people-watching. There is a small fridge in the room, but no kettle for making coffee/tea.
The area is really beautiful with a great view from our room (nr 4). But be aware that this is first and foremost a busy restaurant, then a hotel/b&b.The entrance to the rooms is through the narrow bar and at nights through the backddoor with barrels of beer etc. The staff is working really hard, but are clearly concentrating on running the restaurant. We would love to go back to Gdansk, but will prefer another place to stay.
