My girlfriend bought me this trip to Krakow for my 50th Birthday and wanted us to stay somewhere quaint and in keeping with the old town traditions. The rooms look like they haven't been touched since 1942 but the staff were amazingly polite and courteous. Whenever we entered or left the hotel the desk staff would stand up and greet you, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served in what appeared to be an old theater with a stage and balconies which was a nice setting and there was plenty of good choice for breakfast and apart from the old fashioned room the hotel does have wi-fi and the fantastic location makes up for the wafer thin mattress. I would still recommend staying at this hotel for the full Krakow experience

The location was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The facilities were poor.
No room safe, no hairdryer, no pillow or mattress protectors.
Dining room badly needed decorating, breakfast was minimal plus coffee and hot water were warm.
Guest lounge was a few tables and chairs in a dark room. No bar.
Could be very good.

Room Tip: Use top floor. Floor boards squeak so badly having anyone above would be hell.

Initial impressions of the interior were like looking at something from an Agatha Christie novel. Sweeping staircase, shoe-shine box at your disposal, reception staff that stand as soon as you are in their sight, old posters and memorabilia on the walls. For us, it was fabulous. Room was spacious with bed, wardrobe, cupboards, dining table and seating for 8 (even though you'd only get 2 in the bed!). Maybe a little dated with creaky floorboards but spotlessly clean and everything simply added to the authenticity. 10 minutes walk in one direction to the small Square and another 2 minutes to the main Square; 3 minutes walk in the other direction to the start of the shops leading to the main Square again. We wanted a cultural, historical trip and this hotel fitted in beautifully. Would definitely re-book.

Room Tip: If they're like ours, they're all good.

The exterior needs a little work (200 years old) but it is quaint in style and where you want to be... 'old town' which is inside the old town walls and blocks walk to everything including bus/train station which is inside the Galleria (gigantic) Mall. The Hotel interior is 'very nice', elegant staircase, desk staff rise from tasks behind desk to greet guests upon every return... feels special. In room, geraniums outside huge swing open windows, spacious room, ours with armoire and additional quaint dining booth. FYI, the interior is not dated, its authenic, dont expect Europe to provide interior decor as your home. The exterior buildings are quaint, romantic and Euopean and interiors as well. Everything and rooms are clean including room windows with beautiful geraniums on the outside sill. Traditional Polish breakfast included and proudly presented on a very nice buffet. I rate Pollera 5 Stars because the staff exceed my expectations and I love the interior... the exteroir is the responsibility of the owner. The staff more than make up for the owners role with personalization and service. Note to All: we are not in our hometown, each of us is visiting Poland for a purpose or experience. Respect the pride hotel staff show in the care and presentation of a traditional breakfast wherever you travel. We are so sorry to observe the most obnoxious and rude couple on earth acting out their angry tourist disatisfaction with the breakfast not as they demand it. Anna is a delightful hostess replenishing the buffet and clearing place settings. She received the 'rath' of the self absorbed annoying couple with grace and professionalism. No doubt this couple are known in their hometown as angry mean neighbors as well as irritating but tolerated community customers.
