We had initially planned to stay three nights in Zakopane following several days of hiking in the Tatras in the Slovakia area. We arrived during a long weekend and town was extremely busy...much busier than our preference. It was a dramatic difference in terms of crowds from the Slovakian side to the Poland side. We opted to change our reservation, and return to Slovakia, which the staff did assist with and were accommodating, and we were very appreciative given our last-minute request. It was a long weekend, so they were easily able to rebook our rooms.

We had dinner in town that evening (which was incredibly good) at a local, traditional restaurant, and hiked 15 miles in the National Park the following day. The rooms at Bambi Cottage are beautifully appointed. They are very warm, inviting, and really nice. We had a great night's sleep, very quiet, as the location is set just outside of the busier area of town, which we loved. The views at this location are spectacular, facing the mountains. Stunning.

Breakfast is exceptional...variety of food, quality, presentation, one of the nicest and most flavorful we had been to. Decadent, and delicious.

Our friend's room did have a skylight above her bed, which she found difficult to sleep with the early morning sunlight, but outside of that, the property is beautiful, and we would definitely recommend this location if staying in Zakopane.

It is pretty spectacular.

We spent 5 beautiful days in Zakopane a fortnight ago and our stay at Bambi was simply spot on.
From excellent customer service, delicious breakfast to beautifully decorated rooms with very comfy beds - everything was absolutely perfect!
The lovely guys at the reception desk made us feel like royalties!
We stayed 3 nights on the second floor and 2 downstairs and I have to admit that both rooms were impossibly clean. The state of the art showers allowed us to listen to the radio while enjoying ozone wash.
The selection of food for breakfast was unreal! Freshly cooked soup, options for full English breakfast or continental, freshly squeezed orange juice, 12 types of tea, freshly baked bread and rolls and delicious cakes! If one was to try everything, they would need to use a dozen of plates!
Since we came back from Bambi, we have already recommended this lovely hotel to all our family and friends. We will be definitely coming back! :)

Room Tip: As the weather in Zakopane can change suddenly, make sure you close all your windows (especially the...

After touring Slovakia, we found ourselves in Zakopane at the Bambi, sadly only for one night. Zakopane is a busy resort town, but it has a gorgeous mountain setting, lots of restaurants, a few interesting sights like the old cemetery and church and the Bambi is conveniently far enough away from the hubbub to be quiet at night. We booked a suite in the Bambi cottage and it was lovely - brand new, huge spa bathroom, comfortable bed, living, dining and kitchenette area and a balcony with a view of the mountains. It reminded us of Banff, Alberta. Check in was easy, we had a decent breakfast, which was extra, but not expensive.

Room Tip: Bambi cottage suites could sleep 4. You can choose any room from their website - all have pictures a...

Nice hotel, brilliant breakfast but the whole Zakopane tourist trail was not for us. You can't get into the national park and anywhere you can go is mobbed. If you are happy to queue and wait in line for you photo op you'll be OK.

Thank You for opinion. Unfotunately we have no influence that Zakopane is crowded in long weekends or high season. Maybe next time visit our city in the middle of week out on season and for sure it will be more quiet and You could like it.

This was my second visit to this beautiful, cosy hotel with very modern shower facilities with a radio and jets in shower. food at breakfast was very tasty and had great selection and they were able to provide very substantial packed lunches for a very reasonable price. the main strip is only a 15 minute walk away and there is a shop 3 mins around the corner from hotel. bedrooms were comfortable and some rooms had balconies that looked out over the mountains. there is a common area downstairs with a play room for kids and pool table and fooseball table staff are friendly and cant do enough to accommodate you and make sure our stay was relaxing. I am looking forward to my next visit to Bambi hotel!
