We have just stayed in Scloss Lomnitz for 3 nights and we LOVED it. After our day tours we looked so much forward to returning to this oasis of beauty and peace. It is just what one expects from a Boutique luxury hotel. Lovely, warm, elegant decor, lovely gardens, history, culture, good service, lovely room, great breakfast and good food, but, what makes it even more special is it's inspiring history. The German owners bought the hotel and a bigger schloss next door (houses an exhibition and museum) back from the Polish Government in the beginning of the 90's. It had belonged to the family before all Germans were deported after the war. What an inspiration this family is. Having bought it back in ruins it is now a palace estate again, full of charm and beauty. If the walls had a voice I am sure one would hear their laughter and joy at how they were given a new lease of life!!
If you happen to be in Silesia, Poland, THIS is the best place to stay!!!

Room Tip: I think we must have had one of the BEST rooms..Room No 8!!!
