If you live in Warsaw, you should become a regular, even if you don’t read in Polish: they have a nonfiction book in your language and awesome coffee and food to go with that. If you're just visiting, do stray from Trakt Królewski to discover this hidden gem in the quiet spot behind the tourist trap of Nowy Świat. If you love books, you'll fall in love instantly. The place (named for a great reportage trilogy by the late Polish master of journalism Ryszard Kapuścinski) is unique for its book selection - the only bookstore in the world that I know of dedicated entirely to journalism and nonfiction - and the people who patronize it. Check out their events... and while you’re at it, ask for deser chalwowy (their own inventon and delish!) Oh, and bring your dog if you have one, they're cool with that. You’re welcome.

This small cafe and bookstore is hidden from the main streets (but quite adjacent). The coffee is excellent and the service is remarkable. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing both indoor and outdoor. On the bookshelves there’s polish literature from classic to contemporary, for those who are interested, or you can simply buy yourself a ‘moleskin’.

A nice choice of beverages, rather kind service, plenty of books to buy (the café is owned by a renowned Polish writer and publisher), sometimes readings and other book-related events are organised there.

Bookstore and coffeeshop in one, very friendly owner who sometimes engages conversaion with customers. In the summer you can seat outside, it's nice and calm. Good quality for very reasonable prices. You can meet many foreigners there.
