As already pointed out by some of my colleagues, we stumbled across this restaurant, having taken a wrong turning back to our Hotel on the Saturday afternoon.

We ordered a couple of beers and then had a couple of glasses of wine. We were treated to the best garlic bread I have tasted (free gratis). Having found our bill to be very reasonable, we also had a look at the main food menu. We decided to back a table for 8-off us for the Saturday night.

We were all bowled over by how good the food was and our waitress was first class, making certain recommendations to us. We had a fantastic time in a nice homely atmosphere and were even joined at our table by the owner at the end of the evening.

It is just a pity that this little place is in the opposite direction from most tourist areas. I would generally think that most tourists would head into the old Town area or around maybe the Nowy Swiat area for something to eat. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to anybody that we hear is going to Warsaw and it would be first on our list, when we return.

We found this place by chance, when out a walk on a Saturday afternoon (having taken the wrong street back to the Hotel). Stopped in for a few beers and a couple of glasses of wine and instantly liked the ambiance of the place. We had a look at the menu and decided to book for 8-off us for Saturday night.

On our arrival for dinner, we were shown to our table through the back (decorated like a cave) and had our drinks served in quick time. The menu was so good, it was hard to make a choice.

After 3-courses each and some free shots, we were joined at our table by the owner. She sat with us for a good while and was happy to tell us all about her restaurants and show us some old photos of the premises, when she had first taken over.

As one of my colleagues (see other reviews) has said, if we visit Warsaw again, this restaurant would be top of our list for eating.

Just back from Warsaw. Was there for 3-days with work colleagues (we do a lads city weekend break annually) and had already picked out a couple of restaurants before we arrived.

Unfortunately, one of the restaurants that we tried to book for dinner on the Saturday night was fully booked. By chance, two of our party stumbled across this restaurant when out for a walk on Saturday afternoon. They had a couple of beers and a few glasses of wine and were also given freshly made garlic bread as a light snack (free). They had a look at the menu and were impressed by the ambience this place offered, so decided to book it for dinner on the Saturday night for the eight of us.

On arrival, we were greeted by the lovely Elissa (not sure if spealt correctly) and shown to our table. The room through the back is quite cave-like, but the whole place in general, has that cosy warmth and homely feel about it. We ordered our drinks and when they arrived, so did the plates of the garlic bread. I have to say that it is possibly the beast garlic bread I have tasted.

We all had starters, main courses (my beef tenderloin with truffle sauce was just amazing) and desserts, along with 3-litres of house wine (one of the best house reds I have had in any restaurant), beers and some double brandies.

We were then given a free round of Tequila (complete with lemon & salt) and even Elissa joined in with us. The lady who owns the restaurant, then came out and sat with us at the table and gave us an insight into her 3-restaurants and showed us some old photos of how the restaurant looked, when she first bought it. She then had our Elissa bring out two more rounds of liquers (again not on the bill) for us. Our total bill for the 8-off us, was around £260, which we thought was excellent for the amount we ate and drank.

All in all, we had a fantastic meal and were made feel really welcome. We stopped by for a few beers and wines, before we left for the airport on the Sunday afternoon, and again were made to feel really welcome. If, but more likely when I return to Warsaw in the future, I would certainly put this place to the top of my list of places to eat.

I have eaten in many restaurants in Poland. This for me is one of the few restaurants that not only manage to cook good Italian food but are also successful in fusing the Polish cuisine into the menu. The house wine is also very tasty and well priced. Although the prices are not for the lower budgets it still deserves the asking price for each dish. All the girls speak very good English and are very pleasant servers.
