Bajtica Guesthouse will remain one of my fondest memories of Bled. The house takes you back in time. It's a hundred years old cottage, still having many original features, and decorated to perfection by its owner. Pictures don't make it any justice. And yet the house is not the best that Bajtica has to offer - AnaMarija is. AnaMarija was extremely welcoming. She offered me coffee, wine, freshly picked fruit, and delicious nibbles throughout my stay, and was very forthcoming with general information, history and culture not only on Bled but also on traditions that link Slovenia to my country. AnaMarija does everything with great care and passion, she's a truly inspirational lady. Her two daughters were very hospitable too and fun to chat with. I believe that these hosts do not do this for business, but for the love of their home village. Bottom line, if you're staying in Bled, Bajtica is a must!
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- A gorgeous wooden cottage is hidden away in the middle of a lush garden in a quiet street in the center of Bled, surrounded by holiday villas from the 19th century. Its interior is reminiscent of an English countryside cottage - there is wood everywhere and a fireplace in the middle of the living room. Breakfast and summer relaxation in the spacious garden is priceless. Just a few minutes on foot from the shore of Lake Bled. Warmly recommended! ... more less
