We stopped at the hotel for a weekend break for a friend's wedding.
The rooms was average but you do get what you pay for. We was not in the room very much as there's so much to see and do in Lake Bled.
I would recommend a balcony with a view of the lake which is definitely worth the extra cost.
The hotel staff was friendly and polite and even lent us a umbrella when it was raining and told us where to eat the first night when we got there as it was very late and most places was closed.
The parking at the hotel is free and there are a few spaces available.
Overall a good day for a weekend break.

i would not recommend to spend any night in bled (touristic village with a touristic prices for hotels and food), just spend the day there. this hotel is awful, broken things in the bathroom (shower, window) and horrible mattress.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the room was a disappointment. There was no a/c and the room was very hot in the evening. They provided a fan but it did not make much of an improvement. To go with being hot the room was stuffy and had a fusty smell. It really did need a good renovation. The bathroom had been improved and was very good. We had a view of the back of the hotel - so no nice Lake Bled view. All in all it was reasonable considering the price we paid but the hotel does needs a program of work to brighten up the inside.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the front of the hotel and ask fro a/c if it is likely to be hot

Finally arrived at our Hotel at Lake Bled. It is a glacial Lake and the water on the edge of the lake is beautifully clear. Our Hotel is a tad dated, so much so that the tiles in the bathroom are so retro, they are now fashionable. But what a view we have from the bedroom, it makes up for the rest of the hotel which has seen better days.

After doing the usual laundry stuff, off we go to hire bikes for a ride around the lake. The tickets are purchased from the hotel across the road. It’s about 5 times what we have paid for our one night (the Hotel).

It takes us an hour to cycle the 6 Ks around the Lake with photo stops in between. Initially it was raining when we started, but half way round it had stopped. It was a great way to see both sides of the Lake; good exercise with beautiful greenery all around. Put a smile on my dial.

The double doors were for fire safety. We didn’t want to watch TV so no problem. The beds were two pushed together and ok. Cleaning could have been better, but everything worked. Staff were pleasant enough. Had no problem with getting fresh air into room & wasn’t too bothered with road noise.

We dined one evening at the very impressive hotel across the road, which seems to belong to the same hotel chain, which was very nice with excellent service in lovely surroundings. I even had a facial treatment there at their Spa & Clinic downstairs the following day, which was soo relaxing and not very expensive.

Early start so we head downstairs for breakfast and it’s full house. Not much food left, but managed to grab some cold scrambled eggs. Most of the people leave and there’s just my husband & I with a British couple and their son. They don’t do toast here, but the son asks for a toaster so he can toast his bread, the waitress goes to kitchen and after a while comes back and says “sorry toaster not coming”. You had to be there, we used that “saying” on our travels when things were lost in translation.

Finish breakfast, then head off around the lake to walk the path up to the Castle. No Tour buses in sight yet. The view from the top is breathtakingly stunning. Being in this part of Slovenia is so rewarding. The Castle is undergoing renovations, but most of the roof tiling is complete. They really take pride in their country and it shows. The NZ Tourism Board needs to come here & see how it’s done.

Walked back down thru the woods and out to the residential area. Houses and layout are very similar to Switzerland. Stopped off at the Catholic Church on the way back.

The hotel had a great view over the Bled Lake. Clean abd with a friendly and service minded receptionist.
The rooms brought you back to the communist era with their sense (or lack of sense) for comfort and design. The beds were ok, though. For a night or two, it was quite ok. Ask for a room with lake-view. They are bigger.
