Just recently returned from a trip that comprised of a selection of hotels, hostels and apartments in a variety of places throughout Europe. Sadly, the Aladin was a low point and I say sadly because the owner really tried his best to look after us, but this didn't deflect from our overall disappointment with the place.
The shower leaked, the ground floor room was unbelievably hot and cramped, it was way out of the town centre. It had the aura and feel of an ex-nightclub and was a bit seedy and run down. We were extremely thankful to only stay the one night.

This is not the best hostel you've been to, definitely not. But for the price it is ok, it is a bit farther from the centre but buses go regularly, and if you are used to walking, its no problem (15-20 minutes to the centre walking). You can also walk through a beautiful tivoli park which will make the way to the centre much more pleasant. The kitchen was tiny, but it was clean while we were there, so were the bathrooms and showers. One thing that really wasn't ok was the wifi. It disconnects you every other minute, if you need to use the internet while you travel, it can be very annoying. The corridors on the first floor have no windows (as far as i know) and it really does smell of cigarettes in the corridors. But the staff is very helpful, they make up for all the drawbacks the building itself has. It is rather a quiet hostel. but we visited in october, not sure what its like during high season. Overall, there are things that can be improved, but for the price, it was all right. Thanks for a nice stay!

We really loved staying in hostel alladin. Getting there was not as easy as we expected, but we payed 5 euros for a taxi so we did'nt really care. Later we found out that the bus was a very easy way to get from and to the hostel.
When we arrived late we got a warm and friendly welcome. And when we got in our rooms we directly met some nice people because of the shared kitchen and living room.
When we prepared out meal, everything we needed was there.
We really fellt like home there.
Also we think the aladin theme is very cool it makes the hostel look colorfull and happy, and that made us happy!
You should really stay there!
Thanks aladin hostel!

Previous 2reviews were reported and deleted so will keep writing this review....!!!!

Rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, kitchen was tiny, hostel is more than 2km walk away from city centre, no way would you walk to or from the train station with bags, was in a residential area and you need to get taxis to and from the hostel any time you want to go there, we didn't get the triple room we booked-we instead had to take 2 rooms and pay extra while being told we were getting a 'deal' - we just wanted the room we booked and that was advertised to us. We cancelled our 2nd night stay there as the hostel was no as described and we felt like we were being ripped off.

Room Tip: Don't stay!

The recpetion guy was very nice. Room was spacious although the top bunk bed did seem close to falling down! Bedding was a little dirty and old and you have to get there by bus. Fine for a night stay or so. T.V in room which was cool. Beds were very old- not the most comfortable.
