This hotel is in a great location - only blocks from the Danube and major transportation. However, it is a very basic room - even Walmart decorates better!! Shower was so small that when you turned around your body hit the nozzle and shut the water off or changed the temperature! Had to walk up 42 steps to get to the first floor - no lift. No breakfast but the restaurant next store is nice and there is a Gyro Shop on the other side that has decent food. Service was very good. Rooms were not as clean as other one star places. Nice people at the desk. No amenities like lotion. Shampoo and soap in a wall dispenser. Bed was good. Internet was good. We stayed here as part of a package tour.

Elevator not working, which hotel says is not their problem. Hallway lights out, which is an unsafe condition. Low quality pillows and mattresses. Public areas dirty. Rooms poorly furnished but clean. Would not stay here again.

Perfectly decent budget hotel for sightseeing in Budapest. The food is lovely from the restaurant. Breakfast is basic. The bedrooms are clean and location is good. Worth a stay. Make sure you visit Szimpla Kert ruin bar. Spent a full afternoon there. The hop on and off bus is fab for seeing all the sights. Margaret island is lovely if the sun's out and you can sit out and watch the world go by.

This hotel was very basic which is fine as we only sleep there. The staff were really helpful especially when asking to get to places of interest.
We did not know there was a lift in the hotel until near the end of our stay and it was not easily accessible. I feel the hotel is not good for disabled people.
The breakfast was in the bar/restaurant attached to the hotel and it was a standard continental one, eggs, cheese, meats, cake etc.
I would stay there again.
Only one downfall was that there was not tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Stayed from Friday to Tuesday and had a great stay. Double room in 2nd floor was made even better by discovery of the lift on Sunday! Hotel is ideally situated near the Metro, tram and bus. Staff are so helpful and breakfast was simple, scrambled eggs, tiny cocktail sausages, bread, cereal, fruit, yoghurt. A variety of teas (no English so take your own) and a coffee machine which made a reasonable coffee. Rooms were clean, shower hot. TV was rubbish but we didn't care. Fridge in room was a nice touch. Booked evening out whilst there and Reception printed booking with no problems. Local restaurants were fun to explore. Drinks in bar next door were 10% off if you stayed in the hotel, again staff were really nice. I'd recommend it.
