Me and my husband stayed 3 nights here in February for my 30th birthday booked through Jet2. The hotel is located directly on the Danube River over looking the Parliament building. The hotel was very good value for money with good clean rooms and great breakfast selection. We hopped on the big red bus tour which is just a few minutes walk to the stop and we walked over the bridges which was also a nice walk (even in snowy -9 temps!) Would stay at this hotel again we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Remember to close your curtains before walking around naked, apartment block looks over looks hotel room we was in

Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Nice location. View of the Parliament across the Danube. Proximity of the Castle, Margid island, subway and tram lines, and much more. Cute embankment. We enjoyed our stay with kids.

In terms of its position, on the Danube opposite the Houses of Parliament, this hotel ticks all the boxes. It is a 3 minute walk to Batthyany Square metro station from where you can visit all the main city sights. There is also the HEV5 railway that goes to Aquincum, the site of the ancient Roman city. Many places are within walking distance, for example Castle Hill, the Royal Palace, Fisherman's Bastion, the Chain Bridge, Margaret Island, and St Stephen's Basilica.
The hotel is quite modern and our comfortable room with it's amazing river view was on the 6th floor. Our shower-room was functional and stylish with a separate toilet.
Toiletries were provided on a daily basis as was tea & coffee with clean coffee cups.
The only small criticism was that we could have done with some more hanging space or some drawers, but we just about managed after asking for additional hangers.
Thank you to the Novotel staff for making our stay an enjoyable one - you even managed to arrange some superb weather!

Our first stop - Budapest, Hungary

The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood but fronting the beautiful Danube River and facing the Parliament building. I rose up early morning to do my brisk walking and I dIdn't see much cars and people up early morning. I went around to see if they got convenience store or shops but only small hole restaurants that serve Asian food. What i saw were some historical places that we passed by when we were on the bus.

We crossed the road for the picture taking opportunity of the Parliament in the morning and the evening with its lights focused on the elegant building. Everybody is disciplined.

The hotel is cozy and rooms comfy. Since it was cold when we arrived, the hotel's room are in heater mode. So we got to open the window to enjoy the natural air. The hotel breakfast offered a lot of variety . I enjoyed their marinated mackarel and different kind of cheese - from cream cheese, cheddar, brie, etc. I also tried their soya milk which is different from ours, their yoghurt is delicious and the sausages of various sizes and kinds. Their pistachos had a different look. I got to eat a lot of dried figs - high in anti-oxidant.

They got courteous staffs to help tourist.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay in Budapest. The hotel is situated right on the River Danube and is opposite the Parliament building. The reception area, bar and restaurant and very modern and clean with friendly and helpful staff. We upgraded to an executive room which overlooks the river. The room in my opinion was still very basic. A small and dated TV, tiny pillows on an average bed and a very dated and basic bathroom. The shower had no pressure and dribbled. There was also a bath robe with makeup on the neck area. To be fair we complained and they moved us the following day and although the new room had more shower pressure it was still basic. The towels were also small and thin.
The bonus of the executive room was a free mini bar which was adequately stocked.
Breakfast was very good with a range of hot and cold selections and all you can eat.
Overall a great location and for a city hotel I guess value for money if other hotels are to be compared. If you want something special and luxurious then this is not the hotel for you. Once again, very happy with the service from the staff, thank you.
