Our family enjoyed a pleasant and quiet one-night stay in the guest house. The room was spacious by European standards, very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was large and relatively modern, with the usual hand-held shower device in the bathtub. Its location is a little outside the city proper, with easy access via car or bicycle.

The proprietor was friendly and unobtrusive; we brought a carry-out pizza back to the guest house that evening, and he graciously offered dinnerware and flatware to us, as well as the use of the table and seats in the sitting room in which to enjoy our dinner. Our breakfast the following morning at he guest house was quite substantial and delicious: Hungarian sausage, cheese, breads, yogurt, and eggs.

I spent 2 nights in this fantastic place and had an amazing time. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The place was really elegant, tidy and quiet, the rooms were perfect and the breakfast was delicious. The accomodation is in beautiful surroundings, quite close to the city centre which can be reached easily by public transportation (bus), or it's also a good way to approach the city walking along the Danube. Besides, there's also a possibility to borrow bikes from the owner. There's a very nice restaurant just on the other side of the road where I had a tasty dinner, it's worth to go there to try some Hungarian dish. I can recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit this beautiful city.

Me and my girlfriend had a very beautiful rest in that guesthouse. The boss is very humorous, and dear. The rooms were clean, cool and quiet. This place is so elegant, and romantic. It was nice to cool down our body in the pool, in that hot summer days. In the restaurant which belongs to the guesthouse, we ate very delicious foods. The downtown is not far from the accomodation, it takes only 15 minutes on foot, and 4 on bike. It was one of our most wonderful trips in our life. This 4 days was totally worth its price

We dpotted their sign on Donau radweg. We are 4 people cycling the length of the Donau and have stayed at different accommodations every night. We didnt mind that it was 3 km from town because we were planning on dpending time in town next day. Another couple who was staying there for a week had car but commuted by bus (conveniently located no more than 50 m from here)to Budapest and other sights they wanted to see. Very sensable. The lovely owners made us feel at home. We cebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and we were encouraged to use the lovely piano room downstairs. We popped the champagne there, cosy as can be. A great restaurant a few hundred meter down the street served delicious Hungarian fare.

The two drawbacks could be the insufficient hot water for 4 people to take shower at once, and

if you need to be in the thick of the happenings, and taking bus is to cumbersome, this is not the place for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

Breakfast of crepes, omelets, delicious cold cuts cheese and wonderful coffee was served with a smile by the man of the house.

We stayed at Panzio 100 for 3 nights, and found the major snag right at the outset, it is 40 minutes walk from the tourist area/old town. If you have your own transport there is no problem, but we came by public transport. The facilities are fine for a B&B, rooms spacious and clean, but strangely no spare electric sockets in our room. The owner never mentioned the sauna/fitness room or the jacuzzi and we only stumbled upon the room (which may or not have a jacuzzi) next to the breakfast room on the 2nd day. So no real grumbles except that being small (7-8 bedrooms) there was no "buzz" or atmosphere.

Breakfasts were fine without a great choice but the helper cooked me an omelette on days 2 & 3 which made up for a shaky start on day 1 when she didn't detect our presence for some time.

If you can't be bothered with the walk, there is a nice restaurant 5 minutes walk (turn left at the main road and it's over the road at about 100 metres) which has views over the Danube.

One good thing about being next to the main road is that there are good bus links to Budapest (Arpad Hid terminus) and Visegrad and Estergom, so you can get about very cheaply. Panzio 100 is the last bus stop in Szentendre as you leave on the road to Visegrad. The stop is called "sziget monasteri".
