Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. Located very centrally. Rooms tidy and spacious. Our room had a lovely outlook too. Beds comfortable. Breakfast buffet good. Would return on if visiting area again.

There are many good hotels in Kosice, and I have stayed in most of them - DoubleTree, Yasmin, Bristol, City Residence Apartment, plus a few others, and this was our first time staying at Zlaty Dukat. I am pleased to say that this is another strong Kosice hotel, and we would be happy to stay here again.

Location cannot be beaten - right on Main street, very close to St Elisabeth Cathedral. There is a small but very secure car park at the back, spaces are limited - maybe 7 or 8, therefore you should tell them at the time of booking if you would like a parking space.

Our room was the biggest positive of the whole experience - it was huge, windows looking out onto the main street, plenty of wardrobe space, plus safe, mini bar, etc and a nice bathroom at the end. The room also had tons of character. Cleanliness very good.

Breakfast was fine, but nothing outstanding. Eggs and omlettes cooked to order aswell. We also had lunch in the hotel, and again everything fine.

Overall, another very good Kosice hotel, and I would certainly consider it again for future stays.

Situated right on the central square, just a few steps to the phantastic Cathedral, this very modern hotel is built on the base of one of the oldest buildings in town (the old cellar is used as wine cellar / bar) . Solid 4-star comfort, large, well equipped rooms, with limited closet space, though. Bed rather hard. Dark laminate floor is not very friendly and gets wet in winter from the shoes. Restaurant not very stylish, but food is OK. Breakfast choice good, only the coffee from a powder machine could be better. As the hotel is in the pedestrian zone, it is not possible to reach the front entry by car. Only in a side street, you can stop for some minutes to unload and enter the hotel from behind. No parking there.
Friendly and professional staff, both at reception and in the restaurant. No language problem.

The hotel is clean, reception service friendly, breakfast adequate. It is a bit of a grotty affair though, with a peculiar layout and very little light. We also enjoyed the dubious pleasure of a giant pillar in the room - hard to see when finding one's way to the bathroom at night with the lights off. All in all, 93€ for one night, 2 people is quite steep for Kosice.

A nice hotel representing excellent value.
Being fairly close to everything this hotel is not the quietest I've stayed in - depending on your room you may find yourself very close to the neighbours - they rise early and during our stay seemed to talk very loudly outside each day, though it went away quickly - I assume they eventually went quiet as a result of leaving for work?

The hotel offers free wifi in reception and the restaurant area with wired internet available to rooms.

The rooms are large and modern with a comfortable bed and large bathroom with excellent shower.

I've recommended this hotel to a number of friends visiting the area and all have returned as happy as I did.
