This was our first restaurant experience in Tallinn, and thankfully all of the others were significant improvements. The only thing to recommend this place is its location-on the square with the Townhall. It's absolutely beautiful and great people watching. Sitting outside is comfortable with heated lamps and blankets on the chairs. Service was passable, mostly abrupt and reasonably friendly.
If you want to take advantage of the location, go and have a beer or wine or cider as the restaurant does have a decent selection of these. But avoid the food. The food had little to recommend itself. My risotto was overdone, gummy, and had a horrible garlic aftertaste. My husband's burger was cooked like a leather puck and had a bun that was so dry it just crumbled. We probably should have known better than to go to a restaurant that specialized in the tourist trade, but the location was pretty compelling. We should've trusted our instincts.
