We were visiting D.C. for Friendsgiving.
Rates for our dates were very inexpensive all over town. We focused on researching all the luxury hotels for the best dog-friendly option.
W Washington D.C. won out when their very friendly operator described all the ways they would look after our dog.
The rate was around $200 and we used Suite Night awards to upgrade into a Wow Suite which was an incredibly beautiful and spacious room. We had a direct view of the Washington Monument.
On our night of check-in, the front desk sent us up complimentary cherry pie which was such a nice treat.
The dog fee ($100 one time, $25 per night) covered things like a dog bed, dog bowls, and even dog-sitting. Every time we stepped out, they would take our dog to the back office and watch him and walk him as needed.
They also offered dog room service, which is very pricey. But a hot meal can help your dog get motivated to eat when they've had their routine disturbed.
Breakfast at Cherry was fine. None of the menu items jumped out at me, but the staff was always helpful.
The walk to the National Mall was absurdly quick. It's a great location. The property has a great energy and we will never even consider another spot when staying in D.C.More
