Description: Inspired by the tapas bars and “Cervezerias” that surround Barcelona’s renowned food market “ElMercado de la Boqueria”, Boqueria serves market driven authentic Spanish cuisine. Boqueria feature a long marble bar with tapas, artisanal cheeses, cured meats & hand sliced Serrano ham. The menu of tapas & shareable larger dishes includes many favorites of Spanish cuisine as well as more creative dishes in Boqueria’s rustic spirit.

Maybe the best Bravas I have had. Crisp, with the perfect amount of both sauces. Such a fine balance! Gambas were very good as well. That said, the tables are very close together, and they have unisex bathrooms- which never work in restaurants (who wants to put up/down a disgusting public toilet seat?). Not perfect, but I would return. Rework of old Penang space.

Thank Sheryl B

While I've always been partial to the old Tapas standard Jaleo and its famous celebrity chef, relative newcomer Boqueria near DuPont Circle can really give Jaleo a run for its money. The tapas are authentic, modestly priced and the wine list is good. I was very pleasantly surprised. I'll go back. Tortillas, jamon, and lots more. Almost as good as being in Madrid

Interesting menu, reasonable service and prices - went for a quick business dinner and it met our needs with good tasting food, not too expensive.

small plates are all the rage in dc, and two tapas restaurants have recently made the "bip gourmand" list by michelin, boqueria being one of them. and they do tapas very well. the menu has a good selection of traditional tapas favorites at reasonable prices. although the food is quite good, the crowding and noise during the lunch rush does somewhat detract from the overall enjoyment. however, it is a welcome addition to the tapas scene in a downtown location, about three blocks from the farragut north metro stop, in the space that was formerly occupied by penang, the dearly departed malaysian restaurant.
