Private Marine Corps Tour in Washington DC
Reviewed 9 July 2017 via mobile

If you have never been to a military tradition--you must do the Royal Tatoo in Scotland and the US Marine Corps Sunset Parade in WashDC! Great music, exceptional entertainment and a glimpse of one of the most professional military warriors in the world! This trip should be a must for any high school scholar thinking about a career in National Security!

Air Force vet here, but the Friday evening parade is a must for anyone. The precision is amazing in all aspects, well choreographed, fabulous music by a portion of the Marine Band and the separate Drum and Bugle Corps, etc., etc. Makes one very proud!

Best free show in the northern hemisphere. The Silent Drill Team is the epitome of precision and military bearing. The music and marching is unmatched by the US Marine Band and the Drum and Bugle Corps. If in DC, go visit the ceremonial post of the Marine Corps.

I took the metro to the nearest station, to find on arrival that The Barracks are part of a very interesting walk thro the local area, each point of interest having its own sign and accompanying description.
For security reasons, access, and viewing are limited but it's well worth the trip.

Lots happening here. You can take a tour of the Marine Barracks, the Marine band plays at designated times. There was a change of the guard or lowering of the flag ceremony. And the area has some surprisingly good restaurants and night life. Check it out
