We were looking for something different for dinner, and this delightful German cafe exceeded our expectations. Wurst, spaetzle, red cabbage and potato salad were delicious accompanied by a delicious Mosel Reisling. Service was excellent. There was even accordion music.

Because of the rain we were looking for something close to our parking garage and suddenly we saw this shop/restaurant. German focused. We took bratwurst and sauerkraut. and one had a salad. The Polish bratwurst was good but nothing special. The potato salad was tasty but very little. The piano player was nothing to rave about.. All in all not too bad.

We tried Cafe Mozart based on reviews here at TA and the proximity to our hotel (Marriott Metro Center). I don't think that I'd got across town just for dinner there, but it was an enjoyable and easily attained meal.

Its cuisine is German/Austrian and we both enjoyed wurst and German potato salad. There's beer on tap and a large dessert menu. We tried and finished a slice of the Cafe Mozart torte.

My one complaint was the noise level. The pianist was a bit loud considering the size of the room. Other than that, no problems.

btw, it reminded me of neighborhood restaurants all over the USA - frequented by locals who return again and again. It's not a tourist mecca. It's real.

Quirky...Just what I like in a travel experience, quirky. Walk into a German deli/speciality food shop all the way to the back and into the intimate dining room. Kitschy decor and music complete the picture. Order yourself a liter or two of German beers (small but delicious draught selection) and relax. Service was efficient but laid back, making for leisurely dining experience. As a party of three we all ordered different appetizers/entrees and had what was pretty much a German buffet...it was all great! Be sure to have the potato pancakes as an appetizer, they were the best I've had outside of Germany. One thing, bring your wallet...Beer and food are wonderful, but a bit on the pricey side (Dinner/drinks for 3 was $147.00 before tax and tip) Bills be damned, treat yourself!!

You walk in to a deli and coffee shop. The restaurant and bar are in the back. Nice and clean with authentic German food. The sausages were excellent, the sauerkraut extraordinary. The red cabbage was extremely tasty and the German potato salad superb. Top it off with several draft German beers and top notch service and you have a restaurant that we'd recommend.
