Out of this world Porterhouse. Truly wonderful. Quite a scene too, given how close to Capitol. Appetizers were good too but the highlight is definitely the cuts. Some outstanding Zins on the wine list too.

After spending most of the day in meetings, we all looked forward to a relaxing dinner at a nice Steak house. The service was excellent from the choice of napkins to match our attire to the very knowledgeable staff. They truly exceeded our expectations. The entree from an outstanding steak menu selection to several fish choices was well prepared. But when the Manager came over to explain the various cocktails and took time to explain everything on the menu, this was over the top!!!!
My hat goes off to Charlie Palmers head manager Hilmar Noble who's attention to our every desire prompted me to sent this thank you

We will be back with more of our Friends

I say wow for two reasons, price and quality.
I have never had a better steak - ever. When that first piece hit my tongue it dissolved like one of the breath strips
Of course quality is not cheap. this is also one of the most expensive dinners I have had as well.
If I am comparing to Smith Wollensky, Hyde Park, Mitchells, or Ruth Chris. This place was the best

My only comment - the wait staff was ESL and it was just a little bit challenging for me to understand

Otherwise a great experience!

This restaurant is popular among the movers and shakers in DC. It is close to the Capitol so it is used for power dining. There is a private dining room and many Senators use it for private fundraising events.

Dinner i a private room for group of 30. Menu for group offered 3 entree choices. I picked the filet. The meal started with appetizers to be shared. They included cheese balls and crab cakes. Both excellent. Bread and a green salad were served next. The filet came cooked exactly as ordered. It was so nicely seared on the outside and cooked medium+. Mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts and asparagus were family style. Had a the apple/berry cobbler. It was good but too much of the crumble versus the apple/berry. The meal was one of the best ever and the filet was the best!
