Tapas is one of my all time favorite ways to eat and La Tasca is a good place for them. They keep several large vats of different sangrias at the bar and they go down oh so smoothly; just the ticket for lubricating your selection of hot and cold little bites.

This trip we had a meat platter with delectable prosciutto and salamis, Spanish sardines in vinegar, fried manchego cheese, bifstek and patatas, and of course, a big bowl of aceitunas (mixed olives). I could eat here almost every day.

My wife and I were looking for a quick lunch while in DC this week and we came upon La Tasca. We stopped in and our first impression was the friendliness of the greeter. She asked if we wanted to sit by the window and we did. We choose from the menu that offered two, three or four choices from a pre-fixed Tapas menu. The waitress was very pleasant and explained everything on the menu. The food came out and was very good. After we ate we spoke to the manager about how friendly everyone was. We would definitely eat here the next time in DC.

Sangria is fantastic! We liked everything we got. Roasted beets with honey and lamb meatballs were faves. Fried cheese and shrimp were delicious. Tres leches cake was the best! Go! It's a fun atmosphere and the people are excellent servers.

Expensive, mediocre tapas. Go somewhere else. Patatas bravas was ok but not more, gambas were a bit greasy, chorizo neither looked nor tasted good. The dishes we ordered arrived too spread out.
