We had guests in town and decided to be adventurous. The restaurant is small, but cozy. The decor projects an authentic flair that many establishments in the area sometimes lack.

We were seated promptly, but not rushed to order. Our choices were diverse from Momos to lamb shank, but it was all well-prepared and delicious. We are avid Indian cuisine fans, and their butter chicken was good, though not the best we've ever had. My children enjoyed the LoMein, but I think some of the best dishes we ate were from the Nepalese section of the menu.

The menus is vast and varied, but you should not be afraid to try something outside your norm. It's all very good. We will definitely make a return visit sometime soon.

OK food, but terrible service. My food had not been delivered after an hour and a half so I called them. The guy who answered said that it was being delivered, and would be another 30-45 minutes (the guy claimed that it had been less than an hour). He then put a woman on the phone who said that I must have ordered from a different restaurant. When I told her that she was incorrect, she then switched to they lost the order. Two hours and 15 minutes after I ordered and two phone calls later I finally had a cold dinner to enjoy.

Himalayan Heritage has long been one of my absolute favorite restaurants in DC. The restaurant has an enormous variety of Indian and Nepalese dishes to choose from for vegetarians and meat/fish lovers alike. Dishes containing nuts and/or gluten-free are clearly marked on the menu. For someone like me who can only handle the most mild dishes, it's thrilling when menu items that are marked mild truly are mild to taste!

My favorite item on the menu is Buddha Delight (frequently called malai kofta), but I've enjoyed the mas ko daal, korma, and saag paneer before. My,husband loves their chicken vindaloo and the gobi manchurian appetizer (my husband really loves spicy food). We usually get an order of delicious garlic naan, too.

Locals can order food for delivery or pick up online, though the restaurants dining room is pleasant. Himalayan Heritage is a short walk from the Washington Hilton Hotel and other nearby hotels. Be sure to check out Himalayan Heritage Restaurant!

We went for dinner at this place. We ordered chicken and vegetarian momos which were nice. We loved Nepali style Mutton curry. We thought okra vegetable and saag paneer could be better.
Overall good experience. People are nice and the seating is comfortable.

My first time with dinning at a restaurant with food from Nepal. It was much better than Indian food. Fresher, better flavors and not as buttery or oily.

Great options if you do not eat meat.

Service was charming and the decor warm and inviting.

It takes time for the food to be prepared, fresh!!!!

Dumplings are much better than Chinese dumplings.

Hard to find parking. Use Uber or a taxi.
