We had dinner here with a group of friends on a Saturday evening. The place was packed. Nonetheless, we were seated promptly and our server was there immediately. The wine list is extensive, although on the expensive side. Actually, the food is expensive too! A pleasant young man comes to the table to explain the menu and the way they prepare the various kinds of fish on order. He even has uncooked fish to display - he is obviously present to sell the food.
We ordered one of the seafood towers, which was covered with a variety of fresh, cold raw seafood, from oysters, clams, lobster to scallops. All excellent. Our party ordered a variety of dishes, but the one that stood out above all others was the lobster ravioli. You will want the full portion, even at $60. It is delicious, in fact one of the best dishes we have enjoyed all year. And the addition of the shaved truffles did not hurt, damn the cost. The plate comes with large, tender pieces of lobster in an amazingly complex sauce, in addition to the lobster-stuffed ravioli.
We could not manage dessert after this. All in all, an excellent dining experience, but mostly because of the lobster ravioli!

Ate there with wife and son. I had the lunch special - squash, wolf fish and dessert, while they split a monk fish with spinach. Everything was outstanding. Service was very attentive, without being overwhelming. Good selection of cocktails and wine by the glass. Fiola Mare is expensive, but well worth the money.

And all in a waterside setting. A shrimp Caesar salad offered three ginormous shrimps, perfectly grilled and seasoned, and so big that the volume of salad to shrimp was about 50/50!. Service was perfect, exactly the right balance between attentiveness and privacy.

For a restaurant that we have had some excellent meals, our last visit was disappointing. The menu remained largely unchanged and struck us as a bit dated. As we waited to be seated, we decided to wait in the bar, where an enthusiastic waiter who had invented the special cocktails offered a bit too detailed an explanation on how he developed the drinks, failing to read our greater interest in talking to each other. We ordered the cocktails, which we did not find as inspired as he tried to make it seem.

Love this restaurant. Seafood and fish are very good. Excellent wine list ( although a tad pricy). One of the best services you will get in a DC restaurant.
