Went to Le Chat Noir on Thursday and the 3 of us serious "foodies" all laughed when we agreed we had never been to Le Chat Noir despite it being in DC for some time. Service was sketchy from beginning to end.....but move past that to an absolutely awesome dining experience. The food was extraordinary....halibut fricassee with leek fondue was over the top and the beef bourguignon had just the right amount of delightful carrots and pearl onions with lovely pasta base. Salads were refreshing and while the crusty fresh made French bread was over the top we only got one piece each due to the very poor service. Not sure I would take out of town guests here again due to service.....which is truly a shame since their food was outstanding.
