If you enjoy history and are a gun aficionado, then THIS IS the place for you. While the museum does have an outstanding collection of bronze sculptures as well as MANY outstanding pieces of Chinese artwork, the myriad of armaments Mr. Berman has in this collection is beyond outstanding. Both he and his wife worked as government spies, he for the US and she for the French before they met and married. After their “spy” careers, they continued to collect items that were of interest to them, and were thoughtful enough to gift it ALL to Anniston when they passed away. You will not be disappointed because no where else can you be so close to such rare items! Go and enjoy!!

Very nice museum. The exhibits are marked well with information. Easy to see exhibits. Walking through was also easy. I would return.

We read about this museum in the AAA book. This has to be nicest museums that we were not familiar with. A huge collection of Remington Bronzes. Vast number of firearms covering centuries and continents. WW II and Pearl Harbor displays.

Mostly old guns, along with a few other miscellaneous artifacts. Nothing wrong with it, just be aware of the fairly narrow focus. We got in along with the adjacent natural history museum.

The Berman Museum houses an unusual collection of items that was gathered by a former American spy. Because the collector traveled to so many different locations and did a variety of things, the collection does not necessarily have a theme, except that the couple for whom the museum is named acquired them. The museum's collection is not extensive, and the whole thing can be seen in an hour, but there are some interesting pieces, such as Hitler's tea set, a piece from the U.S.S. Arizona, Wild West items, and Japanese art.

Do yourself a favor and buy the ticket that allows you to go both to this museum and the Anniston Natural History Museum, which is located right next door. You will have money this way. Also, you don't even have to move your car if you visit both because they are only about 100 yards apart.
