I was in the area for a family event and this hotel was well located in the area. Check in was uneventful, but no Hilton Diamond benefits. Not sure if this is a California thing, but the hotel had different buildings which were not connected on the inside, so once we got our key we had to go back outside and walk to our building. Our room had a good amount of space including full kitchen, small kitchen table, sofa, and a separate bedroom. Room was clean, and appliances seemed to work fine, but some of the furniture and carpeting seemed worn and dated. Still, we got a decent night's sleep. As an added convenience, there's a Trader Joe's store next door (maybe 30 feet from our hotel exit).

My reservation was cancelled via Priceline (with an email confirmation) yet there was an attempt by the hotel for the reservation. I called the hotel and inquired about the attempt and was told the reservation was never cancelled, but they would “do me a favor” and not charge me. I explained this was not a favor and that was unnecessary verbiage, only for the rude and unprofessional female front desk agent to tell me she would have the card charged (which I had cancelled prior to the call) and I could taken it up with her General Manager Vince.

I am more than happy to take it up with Vince, and file a complaint with the CA AG’s Department as well, and possibly the Auditor General, as I’m sure this is not the first time this happened to other guests.
