We loved the Candy Cane Inn. It was as good as all the reviews say: super clean, friendly, close to Disney, good breakfast, pretty pool and lovely grounds. What and oasis! We asked for a quiet room and got it. A great place to unwind for the next big day in Disneyland.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon because we visited disneyland. It is close enough to walk to the park, or you can take their free shuttle. They have a nice continental breakfast and the pool and hot tub are also very nice. Our room was cute as a button and the beds were very comfortable.

We live in NorCal and visit Disneyland 3 times a year and we have decided over the past two years that the only place to stay is the CCI.

The property itself is lovely with all of the landscaping and it's obvious that they keep the property up. The common areas are well-lit, clean and inviting. The staff is great...from the front desk crew
to the shuttle drivers to the maintenance & housekeeping. They will do
anything they can to make your stay enjoyable!

In the past, we've stayed at other hotels where it seems that the team
always had their friends/family hanging around talking to them while they worked. You won't find that here...these folks are hospitality professionals who always go out of their way to assist. We had a couple of folks who had forgotten their toothbrushes and although the gift shop had just closed, they went ahead and made sure we were able to get the toothbrushes. The shuttle driver drove us right to our room
door when he realized that Grandma was overly tired.

This property tends to attract families and it's nice to sit and chat with folks by the pool......when you talk about the CCI you always hear them say how much they like it too.

We have booked the Premium rooms the past couple of visits and enjoy the breakfast in a basket delivered promptly each morning and the kids
love to choose a movie to watch each night.

We will definitely stay here again!

After much Internet research, we were relieved to discover that we chose such a great hotel for our Disney experience. We very much enjoyed our room. It was quaint and quiet, and we thoroughly enjoyed--and recommend to others--the premium room and in-room breakfast delivery. We had our choice of pastries, bagels, croissants, cold and hot cereals and the such, as well as several beverages (hot chocolate, juices, coffee, milk) and fresh fruit, and our breakfast was delivered hot and at the time we had requested. The beds were comfortable, the room temperature was perfect, the room was clean (with the exception of a small amount of soap left in the bathtub soapdish, but this was well cleaned on our 2nd night), and was equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, and mini refrigerator.

It was the perfect location for a walk to Disneyland. The hotel is located on the same side of the street as the Disney entrance (on S. Harbor) and is only a short walk from Disney, although the hotel runs a courtesy shuttle every half hour to/from Disney. For those not familiar with Disney, other hotels in the area do not appear to be easily accessible by foot to Disney as you must cross busy streets and maneuver around fenced street dividers.

My only frustration was that the bathtub filled up when we showered the first night. We called the front desk in the morning to report the problem and they summoned maintenance to our room immediately (just as we were leaving that morning for Disneyland). Upon our return late that evening, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the tub had been fixed. The hotel staff we encountered were also very friendly.

Overall, this was a great experience, and we will definitely recommend to others--and return to--this hotel.

Every time we stay at the Candy Cane Inn, it only gets better.

This is probably the 10th time we have stayed at the Candy Cane in 14 years. (Though I've noticed that Tripadvisor has removed my other reviews of the same property, so I guess you can only list one review per property?)

We have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier and Grand Californian. Each time we stay at a Disney property, we vow to go back to the Candy Cane.

RESERVATION: Plain and simple. They are always accommodating and friendly.

CHECK-IN: Quick and easy. Only once have I encountered a rude desk clerk, but this time, Adrian, was WONDERFUL! We came with my parents, who checked in a day earlier. He allowed them to check out the rooms and decide which one was best for them. When we checked in the next day, he made sure we had the "better room" next to my parents. Upon checking out, I overheard another clerk allowing a patron to check in at 10:00 a.m. since there were rooms available.

ROOMS: CCI's rooms are always clean and comfortable. They have the most comfortable beds and blankets. The pillows are oddly shaped and rock hard, but if you take the pillow covers off of the "decorative" pillows, you will have nice pillows to sleep on. We bring our own pillows.

The amenities are typical...soap, shampoo, nail file. My only complaint is the smell of the shampoo and hand lotion. Not the best smelling, so we bring our own. Rooms have hair dryer, iron, refrigerator. Wish they had microwaves and a little more drawer space, but these aren't a big deal.

Their air conditioners vary from room to room. The rooms facing the street have central air. (Nice and quiet.) Some of the rooms have older wall model conditioners, which are somewhat noisy. Our room had a newer, digital model. It was quiet, BUT it kept going on and off, which was very noisy and would wake us up at times.

STAFF: The staff can never seem to do enough for you. Even the people cutting down the trees. I'm sure there is the occasional grumpy employee, but I find that to be very rare here.

PRICES: VERY reasonable. $99 per night, Sunday thru Wed.

SHUTTLE SERVICE: Excellent service, BUT the drivers can be grumpy at times. Some of them will let people stand on the bus while others stick to the rules...once every seat is taken, no one else is allowed back on the bus. One morning, there were a lot of people who needed to get to the park, so the driver broke the schedule and made a couple more trips, which we thought was wonderful.

DISTANCE: A couple of times, we walked back to our motel from the park. It's about an 8-10 minute walk from the shuttle area of Disneyland...depending on how fast you walk.

OVERALL: Not every stay will be perfect no matter where you stay, but time after time, CCI has proven to be the best and we love it.
