Recently returned from a very nice stay at the Hojo Anaheim. I had heard great things about the hotel from a Disneyland message board, and I was very pleased with my stay.

We arrived at 10am, and our room was not ready yet, but the front desk was very friendly and took our bags and locked them up for us so that we could go over to the park. The hotel is a very quick walk to the park, about 2 blocks-- 7 minutes to the front gate. There is a very good restaurant practically in the parking lot. -- Mimi's Cafe (not to be confused with Millie's, which is next door, and not nearly as good" has a huge menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is afordable, and is VERY good-- Try their corn chowder-- excellent.

Anyway, we went to the park for a few hours and came back around 2:00 and our room was ready. We were put in building one, on the fourth floor, in a room with a king size bed. The room is clean and comfortable. No frills or anything fancy, but we did have a small balcony and a fridge. I have stayed in pretty much every hotel in the Disneyland Resort area, and save the resort hotels, this was the best. A VERY good bang for your buck.

There are two pools on property, one large family one and then a quiet adult one. We used the family pool because it was closest to our room, and because that was where the hot tub was. They have plenty of large, heated towels for your use in the pool area, and it was just big enough for the amount of people that were there. There was also a game room and small laundry room for people with kids. There is also a small (overpriced) gift shop with drinks and snacks and things, although we preferred "Harbor Cove" next to the Carousel Inn-- more affordable and a much bigger selection.

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, they never missed our wake up calls, and were very helpful with us for calling a SuperShuttle on our way back to the Orange County airport.

All in all, we had a great stay and will definitely stay here from now on when we are not staying in one of the Disneyland Hotels.

Stayed October 28-31. There's nothing remarkable about this place, but you get the sense they do everything they can with what they have. The room itself was spacious. We were on the top floor of the tower, looking toward Disney. The top floor location gets you a higher ceiling and a great view of fireworks. Hotel proximity to Disney was good. Our six- and nine-year-old didn't complain about the walk. The pools were unremarkable, but again, well tended to, with towel service. Mimi's Cafe and McDonalds are right next door and on the way to the Park. The property is located immediately next to a loud, busy freeway. I would not, under any circumstances, consider a room facing the freeway. The hotel website has floorplans and locations of all available rooms. They also offered luggage storage for those wanting to tour on checkout day.

Stayed at Howard Johnson, large rooms, great facilities, helpful staff and close to Disneyland.

If you are considering traveling from Australia to go to Disneyland, I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is very good value for money, you can store all your valuables in the hotel safety deposit boxes and there is good security in and around the hotel and generally in the Disneyland precinct.

Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Hojos in September and were initially offered a room on the freeway side. There was double glazing on the door although coming from the country we found it very noisy. We asked to be moved and were offered two other rooms to look at - the staff were very helpful and acommoded our needs throughout our stay.

The second room was on the ground floor and was much better as we could hardly hear any noise. The room was clean and tidy.

The hotel is in a great location and only a short stroll to Disneyland. Mimis across the road had great food and was very reasonable - huge portion sizes and a good kids menu.

I would recommend this hotel especially to those with children. We had a great holiday.

We stopped at this hotel from the 13th until the 19th of October, Really pleased with the room we had (Disney view).
Everything you need is close at hand and the area is really nice, We soon found Mimis resturant just across the street and eat there often.
The hotel is kept very clean and tidy.
The staff at the front desk are great, On our first day we had booked to go to six flags magic mountain, I had planned the route from the hotel to the park. We got up in the morning and put on the local news to see that there had been a major crash and fire in a freeway tunnel on our route, The staff spent a good ten minutes planning us a new route to avoid the traffic, I really didnt know at the time just how much time they saved us by doing this, But when we saw the traffic jams that night on the news we reliesed just what a great job they had done for us (Thanks again).
One thing that may be an issue is the road noise, we live in a very quiet street with no thro traffic so dont hear a thing at night, We really did notice the noise for the first couple of nights.
Would we stop here again? Yes the downside of the noise is more than made up for by evertyhing else.
