Having visited this restaurant many times over the past 7 to 8 years, I can safely vouch for its dependability. Easily located on route 44 in Avon Connecticut, parking is plentiful. A peaceful calm greets you when you walk in the door and gaze upon the wall of votive candles. The cozy dining rooms beyond are punctuated with festive Mexican decorations and gentle lighting. The food, the best part of the experience, is traditional Mexican-- to start may I suggest the guacamole, made at your table served with warm thin crispy chips. While I have sampled many things on the appetizer and main menu to my complete satisfaction, my favorites by far are the enchiladas del camaron (shrimp) and the chimichanga Del Mar-- each with fresh delicious seafood, perfectly spiced and beautifully prepared. There is a children's menu with wide selection, and the beverages, alcoholic or not, speak for themselves – – literally. The staff is always amazing.
I was delighted to hear that they have opened multiple locations across the great state of Connecticut – – something this good needs to be shared.

Quick service. Always consistent. Chips and salsa while you wait a nice touch. Not many Mexican restaurants near the Canton area. Casual, fun. Good

Delicious appetizers, great price, great margarita. If you go for happy hour you certainly won't need dinner. Fabulous fresh guacamole.

The bartender was very friendly and engaging. Great rita. The Chips are definitely home made. The salsa has just the right amount of heat. Got the Sopa de Tortilla and Arroz con Pollo to go. Both were very good. The soup was on the lean side but the entree more than made up for it as is was more than enough for two meals.

Nice ambience , good wine selection and an eclectic cuisine . Very friendly staff and service as well . They went out of their way to get us some plain rice as that's what our toddler asked for . I suggest to make reservation esp if going on weekends as it gets busy . The only flip side is that the tables are very close to each other - wish there was more space
