Our family spent 2 nights at the Waterstreet Hotel in Apalachicola. Suite 109 has two bedrooms, 2 baths, a kitchen, spacious living area and wonderful screened in porch that overlooks the river. Our children are 8 and 5, and they loved having their own room with bunkbeds. The room also had a washer/dryer and DVR (we used both), and the refrigerator came stocked with a few complimentary muffins/yogurt/fruit cups that were replenished each day. My only complaint about the room itself was the mattresses - they were fine, but not great.
During our stay, we used both the pool area and workout facility. The pool is a little small but is surrounded by comfortable seating areas that are great for lounging and chatting with friends. The workout room has modern equipment, a water cooler, clean bathrooms and a beautiful view of the river. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Apalachicola is a very walkable town, and the hotel location is convenient for walking to restaurants, shops and attractions in the area. We loved exploring this quaint, "old Florida" style town with our kids.More
