Stopped in at Wish Willy’s based on a recent recommendation from a diving buddy, and we were not disappointed. When we first showed up, it appeared they were closed as no one was there, but we were graciously met by Maurice, who was hospitable and promptly invited us to sit, enjoy the reggae tunes playing, and have a drink while we waited for our appetizer of fish ceviche (which was the best I had on Caye Caulker). Great relaxing and casual outdoor atmosphere (bring/wear bug repellent), and the food was spectacular. We ordered the whole fish (red snapper) and blackened fish filets with sides of rice, veggies, and salad, and it was a wonderful meal. Plan on spending time here, as the food is prepared fresh to order (so it is by no means quick fast food). By the time we finished our meal, 90% of the seats were taken, and more people were coming in. Would definitely return the next time we are on Caye Caulker.
