Absolutely fabulous island and the friendliest people on the planet.
Everyone speaks to you and treats you like family.
Great places to eat, drink and chill.
I spent 4 nights on nearby Ambergris Caye and then came here. Absolutely no comparison between the two.
Ambergris is so busy you just as well be in a US seaside place like Myrtle Beach or south Florida.
Caye Caulker is chill out time. Their motto is Go Slow and they live it here

We had no idea where we were going. What a great island!! It’s so adorable. People are very nice. The food is delicious. A lot of places to choose from. The islanders are very appreciative of our help. Wish we could visit weekly!! The beach area is fun and refreshing. Highly recommend taking a boat out and enjoying the afternoon in paradise.

Caye Caulker is nothing, nothing like Ambergris and thank heaven for that. It is quiet, small (don't need to rent or park a golf cart), but still has tons of restaurants. It is the low key option in Belize and amazingly the lower cost option as well. Plenty to do with snorkeling and mayan ruin tours. Much better choice than San Pedro. Also, if you can, take the plane (Tropic Air) to Caulker. The flight from the airport is 10 minutes and has knock out views. The ferry is almost an hour and is crowded. To reach the ferry, you need to take a taxi, whereas, once you arrive in the airport you only need walk down the hall to the domestic terminal. A few bucks more, but very much worth it.
