The host and hostess, Al and Daryl, are genuine kindhearted people. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. A plate of homemade cookies was there for us when we came home from dinner. This pet friendly Bed and Breakfast enabled us to hike, bike, and play catch with our dog on the farm. When leaving we were invited to take some homegrown zucchini with us. It is a great place to unwind and read a book or play games, or sit outside by the fire pit to relax and enjoy family as well as the peaceful countryside.

Room Tip: The Granny Smith wing has two rooms. One room has a queen bed and the other a bunk bed. There is a door to close off the suite from the great room. The rooms have a fan for warm evenings and no TV.

We went to Idaho for a wedding & had such a great time on the farm. The food was amazing. So were the late night snacks. The cinnamon rolls were to die for. The beds are so comfy. Better then mine at home.
They had, bunnies, Lamas, Sheep, Ducks, ponies, and cats there. We all had a great time just wished we could stay longer. They also allow you to bring your own pet along.
My husband and our 2 niece's had a wonderful afternoon at Silverwood park while my sister and I enjoyed catching up. Then in the evening we all headed to the wedding only 2 miles and away and it was beautiful.
Thanks to our host and hostess Al and Daryl we had a marvelous time.

Absolute gem of a find.....The convenient proximity to Silverwood and the stunning natural beauty of the setting are surpassed only by the gracious hosts and their incredible breakfasts! Al and Daryl know just about everything there is to know about the local area and are quite possibly the nicest people on the planet. Our 7 year old daughter wants to "go back every day".....three hour drive from home not withstanding! I can't wait to stay here again!!

We had a wonderful visit in July. Daryl and Al are lovely hosts, the rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished, breakfast and coffee are delicious. We were there during raspberry season and could eat our fill from the raspberry patch next to the front porch! Loved getting to see the animals including baby goats and rabbits. Felt homey and wished we could have stayed even longer.

We stayed in the lodge with another family, so we made all of our own meals, so I can't comment on the "breakfast" part of the bed and breakfast ... but the "bed" part was great. Excellent, clean, new, comfortable linens, pillows, and mattresses. Wonderful towels and personal care items. Very friendly owners who were quick to meet any requests we had.

Downside = only one bathroom and it has only a big, iron bathtub in the middle of the room. Really missed having a "real" shower and having a second toileting option for the eight people we had staying in the lodge. Also recommended to the owners that they add in some dressers / tables in the rooms so that clothing, etc. can be kept off of the floor. Especially b/c this is a RUGGED location (read: there are bugs! it's life in the woods!), I really missed having a place to put our clothing.

Still, the plusses FAR outweighed any minor inconveniences. Five minute drive to Silverwood---could NOT be more convenient. The kids LOVED LOVED LOVED the animals and the wonderful fire pit and s'mores and horse-shoe pit all right out our front door. Quiet. Beautiful. Full size, well stocked kitchen worked perfectly once we provided our food.

If you think of it as really REALLY comfortable and convenient camping, you'll be thrilled. If you're looking for a nice corporate Hilton hotel experience, you'll be disappointed. It is exactly as described and is a wonderful location that I would recommend without hesitation. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The cabin slept all eight of us just fine: two couples in the double beds / one little kid in the rope bed / one little kid on the floor in a sleeping bag (they provided a pad---nice touch) / two kids shared the futon couch that pulled into a bed. BRING EXTRA FANS IN AUGUST (especially window fans)----we were SOOOO glad we had them since there is no a/c.

We so appreciate your help in how to make our facilities more comfortable. And we appreciate your kind and well chosen words. Yup, bugs. Yup, not Hilton. Just the farm. We loved having you and would welcome you back with open arms. Thank you! Daryl
