Friendly staff could not do enough for us. Very relaxing, enjoyable stay. Copious breakfast and unlimited tea and coffee. A little jewel within walking distance of Souks and principal tourist attractions.

We stayed here for 4 days in July for a girls weekend. John and Elizabeth organised all our transfers and many of the activities prior to our arrival and everything went so smoothly. The Riad is located in the heart of the old town and we were greeted by Rachid when we arrived how was had mint tea ready for us and gave us great recommendations on where to go to eat and shop during the weekend. The riad is beautful inside with a lovely terrace to sit in the sun. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and cooked us a lovely meal on our first night and breakfasts. The riad is within walking distance of everything and the staff will arrange taxi's and drivers to take you anywhere outside of the old town. As it is easy to get lost the staff even walk to you the restaurants and will walk back to meet you later at night.

Thank you again for a lovely stay,

If we come back to Marrakech we will certainly stay here again!

Myself and my partner have just stayed at the Riad Elizabeth. I found this little beauty online and before booking emailed John with my hundreds of questions, anxious to be a young couple going to such a big city, however I cant describe how helpful John was. So i booked it. In the weeks leading up to our stay I sent more and more questions and John responded promptly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay went smoothly. He had arranged a transfer from the coach station, we were coming from Agadir and John had told us which coach we needed, booked a restaurant for us and arranged a half day tour around Marrakech.
On arriving we were greeted by Rachid, the riad manager whom we had tea with and he showed us to our room, sprinkled with rose petals and air con already on. He then showed us to the roof terrace where we could help ourselves to drinks and put it on our tab. Rachid ordered lunch in for us and delivered it to the terrace himself.
As a young couple the bustling back alleys of the medina can be quite overwhelming but the night porter Yousaf escorted us to the restaurant a short walk away and was very friendly.
We had breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes and much more on the roof terrace which had again been prepared with rose petals. We had free range of the riad, taking a dip in the pool which was much needed with temperatures of 46 degrees on the terrace.
Rachid was so so helpful as were the rest of the team. The rooms are beautiful and all so unique, it is a must see luxurious riad and i would highly recommend staying here

We researched and looked at many riad's before deciding to book the Riad Elizabeth, and we were certainly not disappointed. Even though our vist was during Ramadan, Rachid and his team couldn't do enough to help us. From getting us picked up from (and taken back to) the airport, organising trips for us ( i would really recommend the atlas mountain day trip), getting reputable taxis to take us around when needed, to cooking us some wonderful morrocan dinners. Breakfast is included in the price (which is very reasonable) and is lovely with fresh fruit, breads, jam and honey, pancakes and more, it really sets you up for a day of haggling in the souks or before going on a trip. The riad itself is wonderful, you really wouldn't know you were in a noisey bustling medina. The rooms are lovely and tastefully decorated, and have air con (brilliant for when we were there as it reached over 100 farenheight ! ). The beds are really comfy and think I slept better than I do at home. All in all I would thoroughly recommend the riad Elizabeth to everyone wanting a tranquil, peaceful, very hospitable oasis in the middle of the chaos of the medina.

We stayed here for a few days in May and had a wonderful experience at Riad Elizabeth. John replied to all emails swiftly and arranged for a taxi to collect us upon arrival. The riad is situated amogst a winding path in a local area so I would definitely arrange a taxi via John. Once we arrived, we were then shown around and taken to our room. Our room was comfortable, and had all the necessities needed. The only downside was that quite often you could hear the local children talking and playing music quite loudly in the middle of the night which made sleeping a little difficult but comes with staying in the city centre I suppose.

Breakfast here is lovely. We ate on the terrace every morning, with the sun shining down and rose petals elegantly displayed on our table. Breakfast varied daily but mostly consisted of eggs, bread, jam, tea, toast, fruit salad and juice which was more than enough for the both of us. Apart from breakfast, we ate out every night as we were keen to eat our so I cannot comment on food at the riad. They did however have an honesty tab, where you could take drinks from the fridge on the terrace so long as you noted what you had taken for your final bill. This really is a lovely touch.

The riad itself is a little further away from Jemaa El Fna by foot than expected, but can be easily reached by taxi in ten minutes. Beware of crooks that try to take you on a different path, if walking, and then ask you for money for showing you the way. We got lost a few times but enjoyed finding our way back again.

On our third day, John arranged a Three Valleys excursion for us as we had not booked prior to arrival. While the excursion was great, we couldn't help feel that it was a little expensive for what it included and our driver did try and get us to buy stuff on the way from the local Argan Oil store. He also arranged for a friend to take us on tour through the waterfalls without consulting us beforehand. However, the views were great and we did enjoy ourselves.

A few niggly things that would have made this place better - the iron board cover needs replacing, the wifi could have been faster, the tap in our bathroom didn't run too well and a quick 5 minute tour to the local post office (where you can pick up a taxi) would have been appreciated as we couldn't follow the map very well. Other than that, the riad is very intimate and cosy, and we much preferred staying here than at a resort hotel. It gives you the opportunity to really get immersed in the heart of the city and experience the day-to-day life of Marrakech.

Rachid and John both made us feel very welcome, and we had a very pleasant stay here. I would consider coming back here again in future, and would recommend to anyone visiting.
