“A little Gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2012

In a Medina of chaos, many people and as many scooters there is the peace and quiet of the Riad Diana. On first being taken to the guest house we were taken back by the accomodation on the roof as it isn't the biggest with a unique bed set up and a shower hose that has a mind all of it's own but we soon grew to find it charming especially as we had the roof terrace. We received a warm welcome from the manager who trully set the scene for our stay, it would not be possible to find a more polite, friendly and thoroughly delightful team of people. On our first evening we decided to eat at the Diana and Ahmed was on hand to serve us a terrific meal on a table that was beatifully laid with rose petals. Ahmed was on hand all night if it was needed and was there to supply a great breakfast. At this point I must say that Ahmed would be a credit to ANY business his people skills were exemplary. The Diana is a warm inviting place to stay very close to the centre square and the Souks it does advertise a pool but this is a plunge pool on the ground floor so no need for that special little number you bought for the Bahamas last year. A really great stay.

This is a lovely riad, very central to everything yet tucked up a small Derb making it a quiet oasis in the craziness of the Medina. All the staff made our stay just perfect. The manager (Boujemab) has excellent english. He greeted us when we arrived and made sure we were settled well and had all we needed. Ahmed (keeper of the riad / night porter) is a lovely young man and presented us with a great breakfast each morning. The roof terrace is a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

We would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: There is a room on the roof terrace. We believe it is very small but does have the advantage of the...

We stayed for 4 nights in the Riad Diana, the location was perfectly central and they offered a seamless pickup from the airport for €20.

The riad itself is lovely, with great decor, a roof terrace and a peaceful central space perfect for a late night game of backgammon. I leave a special note a Ahmed the night porter, who greeted us at the end of every one of our long action packed days with a smile and served us a hearty breakfast each morning with a smile just as fresh as the one he began his shift with.

Highly recommended

first time in North Africa and what an experience!
good job we had arranged airport transfers with the Riad as would still be looking for it now.
down the alleyway to a 'door in the wall', then open sesame and into a most wonderful Riad with helpful staff
we stayed in the ground floor Wahid room which was excellent - big bed
Boujeema was the manager who was excellent, arranging a guide on the first day (Abdoul who had excellent English) - think that this is a must for first timers to get to know the city- a trip into the Ourika valley on the second day with Mohammed, again an unforgettable experience.
third day we did our own thing which was good.
breakfasts were extremely good and sorry that we missed the cookery course
the rest of the staff - Ahmed, Sabria, Imane and Ghita made our stay comfortable and were pleasant and friendly
thanks to all for a memorable time and would recommend Riad Diana for its position, decor and staff
hope to return one day

Room Tip: probably miss the penthouse as the roof is used by other guests, but great for breakfasts and coffee...

We stayed 4 nights at the Riad Diana and were made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. The service was excellent and we felt very much at home. Our first room was on the terrace which was very nice but unfortunately the weather was not as warm as we hoped so we were unable to fully appreciate what it had to offer. On the second day, we were asked if we would like to move downstairs which we decided to do and the ground floor room was lovely. We took advantage of the cookery class and it was a good choice, including the trip to the market to buy the provisions. Be prepared if you choose to cook chicken!!!
The staff were lovely-attentive without being intrusive and I can truly say we received .first class service As other reviewers have said, this is a quiet oasis amid all the hustle and bustle of the medina. We would thoroughly recommend.
