An absolutely amazing place to stay, on arrival Laurent helps organise transport to pick you up then guides you the different places you can visit around Marrakech and different customs to be aware. By the time you're ready to go out you already feel at ease with the beautiful city.

Breakfast which is included as part of your stay was so delicious it's impossible not to finish everything.

The room size was perfect and provided an excellent place to relax and sleep, ready for the next adventure.

Close to all the sites to visit you truly get immersed in Marrakesh's rich history.

Overall amazing service, beautiful riad and brilliant host. If you're reading this you must stay there.

We stayed at Riad Al Badia for four nights in April 2018. What a wonderful experience. We have travelled all over the world in all classes of hotels and can’t think of a time when had a better host or service. The staff at the Riad are fantastic lead by Laurent, who is the most detail oriented, attentive manager and concierge you could ever want to meet.

From the welcome drinks and treats, to the detailed tour, to the dinner reservations, tour arranging, taxis, even filling out our Morrocco departure cards for us, Laurent did it all. He was a fantastic, attentive and caring host.

The Riad itself is very nice, we were in one of the two smaller rooms (there are 6 in total) on the top level. The bathroom is small but worked well for us, there is good access to a very nice roof terrace with sun loungers to escape the huddle and bustle of Marrakech for a few minutes.

Breakfast was excellent, arrived fast and varied each day. There is wifi in the Riad, a little slow at times, but no different to any other we have found in Morocco.

You can eat at the Riad in the evening if you book in advance. We did not do this, but I expect the food would be excellent.

From start to finish we had a fantastic stay thanks in no small part to Laurent and his fantastic team. When we return to Marrakech we know exactly where we will be staying!

We ate in this Riad for our last night's meal. What a wonderful, fun time we had with Laurent! He was a darling from start (rescuing us from the street where we got lost! - it is very tucked away!) right to the end of our wonderful evening. We had an auberge type menu - you get what's produced that day but it's fresh and flavoursome, beautifully presented with totally personal service in a bijoux dining room next to a serenely lit pool. Wow wow wow. After the craziness of the city this was a beautiful retreat. I can only imagine the rooms are of a similar standard and would love to stay in the future.
If you want much more than just wonderful food I cannot recommend this highly enough. I also now know how to salt my lemons!
Merci beaucoup pour votre hospitalite, Laurent.

This was such a wonderful Riad to stay at. The manager and his staff are hospitable and try so hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They help with everything from getting around to where to eat. And when you leave they even complete your airport transfer forms to help make things easier at the airport.

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs are less noisy and they have a deck area overlooking the city

This hotel fit the bill and checked all our “boxes” for being $100 a night. Laurent (the hotel manager) is part of the reason I am giving a rating of 5. He really goes out of his way to explain the city, what to expect so you aren’t shocked or uncomfortable and even walks you out the hotel to teach you how to leave and get back to the hotel. Very high level of service that I had not expected! We left at 7:30 am the next morning for a tour and the hotel was more than happy to serve our breakfast at 6:30 am. The breakfast consisted of bread, Moroccan “pancakes”, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea. Rooms were clean, nothing special (but we paid $100). Bed was pretty hard for those who have sensitive or bad backs like me. I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone looking to keep their budget down, it’s a great option!
