This hotel is built in the traditional riad style with lovely, big rooms arranged around courtyards and gardens. We cannot fault the hotel staff who were extremely courteous and friendly at all times. We were served a wonderful breakfast every morning and enjoyed a luxurious hammam and massage in the basement.

The hotel is very quiet and has a lovely outdoor swimming pool (not heated!). The restaurant is popular and serves excellent Moroccan food but is expensive. Next to the hotel there is a large mall with a huge Carrefour supermarket and inexpensive Italian restaurant on the top floor serving excellent pizza and pasta. There is also a large cinema opposite the mall.

The only real negative apart from the expensive retaurant is that the hotel is situated about 30 minutes walk from the Medina. This was not a problem for us as we welcomed the opportunity to walk off our Christmas calories! A taxi ride from the centre back to the hotel costs around 70 dhirams.

This is by no means the cheapest hotel that you will find in Marrakech but we recommend it wholeheartedly for its charm and excellent service and we got a good late deal through Expedia.

Recently spent four nights in Marrakech with my partner. This was very much the best meal of the trip. The Moroccan salads starter was outstanding—every single dish of the 14 small plates offered was individually spiced and uniquely flavoured. The pastilla was delicious and just that little bit better than others we had. Couscous with beef and prunes and almond was luscious, with the couscous being the lightest, fluffiest and most flavoursome I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommended!

If you want delicious food in a traditional environment, this is your place!

We had dinner in Al Fassia and were very eager to try the tagine. The truth is that the food is really beautiful!

My husband considered his lamb tagine one of the best dishes he had ever have, and we are total foodies!

A must try when in Marrakech!

This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first.

The Moroccan salad is an absolute must for a starter and best shared amongst two or three people. The array of small dishes is fantastic with bags of flavour. Be careful of the chilli peppers which are only for those with an asbestos mouth!

Service is very friendly and efficient.

Also serves wine and beer.

Thoroughly recommend.

We took a taxi to the restaurant and upon arrival found it was closed at lunchtime. The taxi told us that there was a hotel round the back so we went and I spoke to Narjis at reception. Absolutely charming lady, I explained the situation, she asked what we wanted to eat and I told her and she said that all she could offer as the restaurants was closed was to eat next to the pool and we jumped at the opportunity. We were the only ones there so peace reigned. The setting was perfect, the food sublime and the service out of this world. Shukran Narjis for your excellent professional skills and for going one step beyond.
