"Mind, body and soul" they say but here you can heal them all.

I brought my daughter to this outstanding Riad for a convalescing holiday - strange choice to go to the bustling city of Marrakech some might think but.....La Maison Arabe has simply got it right. They understand how to provide an oasis of peace in an otherwise sometimes harsh and often too meaningless world.

I think this must be the only hotel with a quiet and truly beautiful country club a mere 20mins away by complimentary transport. Ideal if you want to experience a taste of Arabia without the frenetic pace of the Medina.

The food was way beyond the standard tourist trail 'best of Marrakech' and the staff could not have been more polite, friendly and constantly went 'beyond the call of duty' demonstrating impeccable training. They made us feel a real part of the family.

The Hammam is an absolute must and has, unquestionably, to be the best we have ever been to.

Let La Maison Arabe show you the very, very best side of Marrakech. It really is a special place to be with those you love most.

Stayed: March 2012

The first impression as you are taken down the small alley that leads down to the hotel made us wonder what sort of htel we could expect to find in such a confined space. But once inside it became obvious that the 26 bedroom hotel was very spacious indeed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful whenever needed.

The two restaurants, one serving Moroccan cuisine and the other a la carte and by the pool, were very good. The only criticism we could level would be that the menu did not change throughout the week and since we ate in every night we started to run out of new things to try. Additionally we had forgotten how nice it has been to eat out in the UK since the smoking ban came into force. The mainly French residents seemed incapable of doing without a cigarette for more than a few minutes at a time which was a shame.

We experienced 3 of the bedrooms which were all different in their own way - partly a reflection of the non-uniform nature of the building. If you are thinking of a hotel with cardboard cutout rooms then think again. The common denominator however was the slightly less than perfect sound proofing in the rooms in the evening. In the old part of the hotel our room overlooked the inner courtyard and as most activity was centred around the pool this was very acceptable, bt in the rooms overlooking the pool you will get some noise from the restaurant and the musicians but this stops at 11pm. If you definitely don't want any noise probably best to ask for a room with a lower number (teens and 20's) as they are away from the pool.

The country club was very good indeed with attentive service, good food and remarkably few people visiting. On one beautiful day we were the only people there for a few hours. Perfect....

The Medina / souks are about 5-10 minutes walk away. Just watch out for the scams. On our first day, and while trying to orientate ourselves on the map, a young man asked us where we wanted to go and when we showed hi indicated that we were a long way from our destination. Unfortunately (for him) he chose to point to a place on the map tghat was about 100 yards from where we had started out and even I am not that bad at rfeaduing a map. Moving on, anoter man came up to us a few minutes later, asked us the same question and this time added "Which hotel are you staying at?" Realising that this was a scamwe told him and he again told us we were a long way from our destination. Finally 5 minuites later another older man told us he was from our hotel and could show us where we wanted to go. Unfortunately he would not tell us the name of the road we thanksed him and left. Gentle scamming, unlike Egypt.

The hotel was a pleasure to stay at and very restful. It was a pity to leave.

Room Tip: Go for rooms with with lower number (teens to 20's) if you don't want to hear nmusic up to 11pm every night

La Maison Arabe is small 26 room Raid in the middle of the Medina. The service, the quality of the restaurants, the Hamman, the wireless in the rooms, the perfect english spoken by everyone, etc. was perfect. We stayed 2 nights and then had to transfer to Club Med for a business meeting which was not a great experience. As soon as my conference was over we got out there and spent the rest of our time at La Maison Arabe. La Masion Arabe is an excellent hotel. I would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We stayed in 2 room in both the new and the old side. They were both fine and quiet as one can be.

We just returned from a week-long trip to Marrakesh and can't say enough wonderful things about Maison Arabe. Contrary to many of the guidebooks, we found that staying in the Medina with a young child (1 year-old) was quite enjoyable, and the folks at Maison Arabe had a lot to do with this. The staff were incredibly welcoming -- to both us and our daughter -- and went out of their way to make our stay fabulous. (Our daughter has food allergies, and they even had special treats on hand for her when we arrived!) The food was delicious -- we found the restaurants in the riad to be some of the best food we had -- and the rooms were incredibly comfortable. We took the cooking class and loved it, and also enjoyed the hamam (spa/massage). We cannot say enough about what a wonderful place Maison Arabe was to stay and particularly how delightful the staff were. In general, we found Marrakesh very welcoming to children, and we had a wonderful trip.

Room Tip: The riad has suites that work well for folks with children.

Stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. very nice, attentive staff, beautiful property with lovely pool and sunny decks with lounge chairs to enjoy. Very conveniently located just a short walk from the square and souk, it's a great spot for your trip to Marrakech! The one downside is that they do not have a gym, but overall I loved the property!
