Owner description: The Saadian Tombs are located just outside Marrakech and were constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur in the late 16th century. This is the resting place of al-Mansur, his family, and other notable officials from that era. These tombs were discovered in 1917; restoration began shortly thereafter. Today, much of its original splendour has been restored.

If the question is, is it worth going? I would answer yes. But if you change the qüestions to, did you enjoy your visit? I would answer no. The kings chamber is magnificent but you are asked to leave before you can even admire the half af it. I understand there is a queue but this doesnot change I had a sad experience.

The Saadi tombs are a small side but was one of the nicer things we saw in Marrakech. We had to wait half an hour for the main hall (which you can only view from the outside) but it was worth it.

It's a really worth visiting place, but there's a lot of people, the que to the main tombs is soooo long! We took the guide, but his english was interesting, I could say more english - french - morocan mix, so didn't understanded very well what he was saying...

Thank everestas

Waited in line to see the tombs and it was worth it. The tiles in the tombs are so beautiful. Was able to see someone here work on some tiles which was really cool.

Hard to believe that this place was hidden for so many years and they didn't even know it existed!! The carving inside the buildings is stunning. This might have been nice to have a guide or a book to explain some of the meaning and reasons for the way it is laid out.
